Played this last school year for my HS Wind Ensemble's trip to ILMEA All-State. Very fun piece, but very difficult (Clarinetist).

Fantastic reduction! I wish there was more piano parts written for Concert Band and Wind Symphony songs, I love the sound of really low piano.

this piece relies a lot on the low piano and the bass!

I like the Adam gorb pieces that I’ve heard including this one, but the way he writes the percussion parts is kinda weird. it’s like he only lets like two instruments play at once, and everyone else just has fields of rests. Regardless, the percussion soli is actually really awesome in my opinion

how do you make your videos sound so realistic? do you have actual people playing this or is it a computer program? i wrote a song and i’m trying to make it sound as realistic as possible for a recording but it’s just not the same as a band playing it!

This a recording by the University of Georgia Wind Ensemble, not a mock-up of the piece in a sequencing program. If you want your music to sound 'real-er' than I'd suggest Vienna Winds or some other kind of high-end sample library. Hope this was helpful.

Played this in uni band! The perc score is so dumb - all the parts are written on the same score and as a result you have to do like 50 page turns which doesn't gel well with how frenetic the music is.

James .m Im a percussionist and ive played this piece, the percussion part is pretty terrible. I just memorized it, essentially.

lol same with Ellerby's Paris Sketches, also available through Maecena's Music. Great work, but the percussion scores have an unnecessary amount of complexity in the way they are organized.

@@kendallperry9247 The worst one I've ever come across is Dan Welcher's Zion; awesome piece but the percussion parts have some of the worst allocation I've ever seen, there are 6 or 7 parts I think, and each player plays every instrument and has to switch stations maybe 20 or so times in a 10m piece, if I ever play that again I'm just going to rewrite the parts
