That point you’re bringing up about parents/grownups asking to “bring it down a bit” is suuuch a beautiful thing to bring to the surface and light. I am on the autism spectrum and I can for sure be real intense and enthusiastic at times and I can subtly sense how others at times tries to “dim me down” or subtly with their voice/energy/actions try to “bring me down”.
