I agree, the highest protection is to know you are protected, as the most authentic magic is to know you are magical. People often give their power away by the very means they depend upon; every ritual just invokes a deeper sense of one's inadequacy (without it), and all the more so as it grows elaborate. The Aries part of you, probably, cuts through all that, even more than the Plutonian, maybe. I'm a highly Uranian Scorpio, with Pluto Square Ascendant, and profoundly aware, on that account but I still think a lot of credit for seeing directly to the heart of things, and eschewing needless complication, must be attributed to (or, at any rate, coincident with) my 1' Mars-Mercury Conjunction in Sagittarius, in a Grand Fire Trine with Jupiter in Leo and P.Fort in Aries. Don't sell that Aries short. My favorite genius, the German Romantic poet, Hölderlin, had his Sun on the Aries Point: 'What solace good repute, when the chain galls me, When, surfeited with fame, my soul burns with desire? Weaklings! I thrive, I thrive, only where struggle calls me! Why would you rob me of my elemental fire?'

The quote by Hölderlin is new to me, but it seems to hold a deeper meaning that requires contemplation, likely tied to understanding more about his life, which I for sure will do more research on. I don't really downplay the Aries part of my chart; there are just many typical Aries characteristics I don't relate to, like being loud. I have Mars in Scorpio in the 1st house, which is Mars' natural placement. Additionally, I have the Sun and Mercury in Aries in the 5th house, so Aries is strongly represented in my chart. Like you, Uranus has a strong influence in my chart. Along with Mars in Scorpio in the 1st house, I also have Uranus in Sagittarius in the 1st house. As for strong determination and creativity, my Aries placements amplify those traits. It wasn't until I deeper astrology serendipitously came into my life I discovered my strong Scorpio influence that my whole life started to make more sense. I often come off as more calm, cool, and collected, thanks to the strong Scorpio influences and water placements in my chart, like having my Venus and Moon in Pisces in the 4th house. On the surface, I give off more Scorpio rising vibes than Aries vibes, but that Aries energy is always burning within, waiting to be let loose lol
