say whatever you want about the new film, but Hanzo Hasashi/Scorpion was given a more proper character in the new film, unlike in 90's he just like Shang Tsung/Shao Khan's minion, without his own purpose

The last time I watched 1995’s Mortal Kombat with my cousin, I told him to switch the language to English just after Liu Kahn’s fight. He only ever watched it in French, and Scorpion’s lines were taken out for some reason. It was like seeing the fight for the first time, all over again, for him at least.

Seriously I'm pretty sure the creators of Scorpion should have had some say in his costume in the last movie. The dude is actually a ninja unlike Sub-Zero, what the hell is the point of the Samurai armor

I think because ninjas are more Chinese like Sub while Scorp is Japanese like samurais. So I think they wanted a more traditionally accurate style for the both. But yes the armor was a bit overkill and I wanted a more classic suit too lol

real ninja in feudal japan did wear samurai armor during war. but there were no armor made specifically for them. they typically took the armor of samurai they killed and wore them themselves.

He wasn't fighting for the realm, he wanted revenge and protect his bloodline. Raiden basically manipulated the situation and it worked taking down Sub-Zero.

Scorpion was always neutral Just the first storyline try to make him on the side of evil although his real intention was to go along with Sub Zero to get his revenge on him when unexpected

@@TBearTheDJ He and Sub Zero were under Tsang Tsun's control in the first movie which is why they were forced to work together to fight for the netherrealm. You are right that he was always neutral and sub zero was always evil.
