Nice video. We came to Canada 25 years ago, even at that time it was CIBC who gave us the credit card and not Scotia Bank where we had our account. Your video bought back nostalgic memories of new immigrants in Canada. It was not easy at all. Every immigrant has to give the first 2 years of their life to settle in Canada. You are very lucky that you have 2 jobs. When we came to Canada, we did not even get odd jobs though both of us are professionals. Looking forward for more videos.

The most remarkable point that makes you choose cibc over scoatia is gic certificate. When you are in a hurry to apply for visa.. scoatia easily takes upto 12-20days to generate gic certi.. while cibc generated my certificate within 4days only.. that was the proving point for me to go for Cibc.

Their is an update in CIBC bank GIC program. We get 2000 CAD at the time of opening account and 730 CAD for 10 months plus 700 CAD for last month.

CIBC has always been the best on updating technology and even on mortgage rates. I will say that most CIBC credit cards don't offer any good rewards program (unless you do the travel rewards that charge an annual fee) but are great in building up your credit history. TD would be the next best - however are terrible on mortgage rates but are still good on their credit card options. Personally I find it impossible to believe that their could be 2 people with the last name of Patel with the same birth dates and similar SIN numbers (maybe same birth dates but different years?) in Canada but this shows how antiquated Scotiabank is.

I opened my gic account with CiBc because i understood the service was good ,while i was going through the process Cibc used to reply back to my emails with my queries and even i cancel two times the transaction due to high CAD conversation rate on that date and when rate came down i did a new transaction but i felt that service was damm good even they had a customer support in India. One more benefit i would like to share is while you send money to canada , Cibc have a collaboration with a Indian bank so you just have to Neft to that particular bank and you are save from Tax since your fees n gic will cross 7 lakhs.

@@mahekshah5788 GiC and College fee both together will cross 7lakhs easily and when you transfer money your pan card is registered so anything more than 7lakhs is taxable. Since CIBC is tied up with SBM you just have to send money to indian SBM account and sending money though any indian bank across india is free so are save from tax

My experience with Scotiabank was good i walk into bank without appointment and they told me to 5mit and then they took me to the room and prosess was smoth and they give me debit on the spot and bank employe apply for credit card and i got it in 5day also i didnt have sin number at that time it depends upon the bank employee he told me to come back to update my sin number. he done all the process without sin number so i think it depend upon the place you are from i am currently in etobicoke. So i think both bank is good you can apply for cibc or rbc bank most of the bank offer free account to student (apply after 2-3 months when you have good credit history they might offer you credit card)

CIBC has changed its policy. Now they give $2000 immedaitely. After than every 30 days they give $730 for 10 months. and last month they give $700

Yes, patel and shah surnames have a lot of problems in USA and Canada. One of my friends surname was shah and he was held at the airport for 1 hour because some of his info matched with some one else

Scotia is best, five years ago, when i came to Brampton, there was no CIBC bank nearby me, so i had faced a lpt of difficulties while my initial journey, firstly i had to change my account from CIBC to scotia, then after a lot of days it ended

Bhai ji Ek baat btado koi Yeh joh air India Aur air Canada ki site hai inpr likha hai ke should not exceed 158 cm check in bag ka size. Lekin joh yeh bags milre hai uska size hi nhi smjh aara. Maine ek salesperson se pucha ke bhai kya scene hai, usne bola L+W+H tb hota hai 158 cm. Please tell me what to do.
