Maybe this says something about picking an actual national side and not a team of foreign ring ins. Hopefully this team will form the basis of their six nations squad . If not more mediocrity. Scotland not much better. Hopefully the five year rule will help but Japan will still be stacking their team with Tongans brought over for university. International eligibility in rugby has been a joke for decades.

Italy did very well but despite some talented players, whether it's the senior or the juniors they can only beat Scotland! The last senior 6N win was against Scotland too.....6 years ago! 25+ six nations losses on the trot. We have to give some other team a shot and demote Italy to a lower tier. Italy have had a 21 year opportunity and blew it spectacularly. I say, let's give Georgia 🇬🇪 the next 21 years. I reckon they'll do a lot better. They certainly can't do any worse. Italy are just the bonus point win the real 6N teams get, and they all try to beat them by as many points as possible to help the points difference in the table. It's become a joke. I think Italy should be treated like Andorra in soccer, and points scored against them should not count in the points difference table. Only the points Ireland, England, France, Scotland and Wales score against each other should be counted. If Italy fail to win a game in the 2022 competition kick them into touch and bring on the Georgians. It will be good for Italy too. They won't lose every game, will be the kings of their tier 2 castle, and can help those tier 2 teams improve their games, at least up to Italy's standard.
