Scotland is steeped in some of the most intriguing history to be found.
Many times its hard to separate the mythical from fact, but together they create the bases for a bounty or folklore and historical characters.

After a good night's rest we left Day 6 on the way to Gairloch to spend the night there.
along the way we came. at Ardvreck Castle at least what is left of it.

Legend of the castle Two ghosts roam the castle. The one ghost would be a great man dressed in gray and would be the spirit of James Graham. The other is that of a young girl.
The story is that MacLeod obtained the help of the devil to build the castle and in return the daughter of one of the MacLeod leaders was promised him payment.
In the desperation of her situation, the girl fell from one of the towers and died.

Driving through Scotland wow what an adventure, the roads are narrow and steep and ensure that you are absolutely engaged in driving.
We are also so full of admirations from, among others, the cyclists etc who also do this beautiful tour, really great!
Ardmair, beach, a magical beach with some flat stones in many sizes and types, Mother Earth makes beautiful things.

Towards evening we arrive in Gairloch, super nice campsite.
Next day on the way to Eilean Donan Castle.
A castle where history can also be felt.
It is so special to be able to walk through this castle with so many memories.
This castle was also on our visit wish list!
