just enjoyed a 266 mile journey (and back) to wales with queens park beating the welsh champions (the new saints) on penalties, really enjoy it because we dont get much in a "big away day" outside of scotland so I'm all for the changes to the competition.

Would love to see a real cup competition with Irish, Welsh, northern Irish and Scottish teams. Top teams from each league in a champions league style cup. Maybe some lower English league teams too

I’m a Sutton fan currently on my way back from our tie at Airdreonians where as a club and fan base we had a great time, and enjoyed making our bit of history winning 1-0. Definitely an interesting idea certainly enjoyed the uniqueness of the situation

In Scotland we are kind of falling in love with this format. It allows the lower league teams to play against non-Scottish teams in a competitive match, although it's possible that the final could be contested between two non-Scottish teams, of course!

Might aswell just field the 2 lowest National Teams in the IRN BRU Cup if they love the expansion.. *San Marino vs Dunfermline* 😂😂😂

I love the Idea of this competition! but Perhaps Irn Bru cup be kept for Scotland only, and a whole new Best of British Isles cup be formed? That way its all Welsh, English, Scottish and Irish Teams coming together for it? and to cover financial side of things for the smaller teams, each country participating puts one of their countries biggest sponsors in it to promote it? So Scottish Teams and the scottish side of things would be sponsored by SSE or Irn Bru, English by Vauxhall and so on!

I like the idea of bringing in the premiership under 21s teams so their youth players get more experience playing against full time professional football players but it's quite a insult that lower league professional Scottish league football is being compared to Non league football in England so just do it like under 21s teams like ( Celtic, Rangers and Aberdeen and all the premiership teams) play like league 1 and 2 opposition...

As a Ross county fan I enjoy the competition, more for the fact we could go to somewhere never been before such as Dublin or London etc, however national league sides are tending to be brushed aside pretty easily and although I enjoy visiting grounds never seen before, it’s kinda like our mini European adventures, league 1/2 teams might be a good addition. I’d get rid of the colt teams and replace them with the top 3 teams from each Irish/ Nirish/ Welsh/ league 2 / national league

This is the next British club cup, I can't wait to see how it evolves. It's been a roaring success so far since this video among the lower league teams. It's know known as the Scottish challenge cup or caramel waver cup. I would love to see a British cup with Scottish premiership, English premier League teams, Irish, N Irish and Welsh again one day.

As a Livingston fan I can remember us winning the cup 2 years before the sfa mucked it up. This cup used to mean something to the clubs but now it’s stupid ( I personally don’t mind the colts) but the non Scottish clubs ruin the competition last night you had a Scottish non league team and Livingston colts travel to Ireland.The tournament does not have fans in mind.

If there was a full on tournament about the League 2 Clubs, All Scottish Teams, All Welsh Teams and All Northern and Irish Teams in it. That would be amazing

Well I love this cup. It's a shame my club's Colts team were knocked out this weekend against Sligo but what an experience it would have been for those lads. When I was under 21, i would have loved it. I think a chance for lower league clubs to play against teams from Wales, Northern Ireland and Ireland is great. But I am against the inclusion of clubs from such a low end of English football. But Sutton United and Boreham Wood have been great. Maybe asking around the Championship/League One clubs, especially the Northern clubs and invite a couple of them to the cup would have been better. Where next? Maybe invite clubs from the Faoes Isles, Iceland, Norway and help develop some of Nordic clubs as well.

It's one of the few fresh ideas Scotland has tried in decades. I'm happy we have it.

Colt teams apart I don’t really mind it. I’d prefer if it was just Scottish tbh but it’s not awful having the other countries teams. However the whole point in this trophy was to let a smaller team in Scotland win a trophy yet they add the bigger teams colt squads in.

I think it is great to have cross border teams in the cup. It is like European football for small sides. I think this should be extended. Have a Celtic cup, for top Scottish, Welsh, Irish sides. Have a British Premier Cup, for all Scottish Premier, Welsh Premier, Northern Irish Premier and Republic of Ireland Premier sides. Plus all English premier sides not in the European trophies. This would be massive boost for Celtic soccer. Invite all Scottish Premier ides not in Europe. plus the top 4 Welsh Premier sides and one side each from the two Irish Leagues into the Football League Trophy. (At present called the Checkatrade trophy) Invite all Welsh Premier sides into the FA Trophy (The top English non league trophy). Invite Welsh Premier, and Scottish Lowland League sides into the FA Vase. Having cross border cup tournaments is great fun it is like European soccer,. People talk about travel, but look at the distances they do in the Pro 14 rugby trophy, or the travel they have to do in Sweden, Norway, Russia and Finland. I do not support merging the British Leagues as that would destroy our football identity. But I do support cross border cups on top of European football, and on top of domestic leagues. If the English really want to help Celtic soccer then have more cross border cups with us. Inverness CT won the Irn Bru Cup in 2018. A European trophy.

Think the best choice is (after seeing Inverness win it last year) is to remove colt teams from it and make it into a British (and potentially some european) Cup. Inverness last season, only one game against foreign opposition (Crusaders in the semis). Add more of the English, Irish, Northern Irish and Welsh teams. That's the only way clubs could potentially make income, by playing opposition they never would. When Inverness went down in 16/17 I was like "Aw christ, this is dismal, no exciting opposition" but then the Irn Bru Cup came along, did some further research into it, and was like "Holy shit, this is effectively a mini europa league. We can get an away day to Belfast or Dublin or Oswestry". Think those factors are the only benefits of not wanting to be promoted to the Premiership. Having colt sides in it, is stupid, they don't have a chance against professional teams, and act as a lucky bye to the next round. What does need to be worked on though is transport costs, surely the FAs of each nation should chip into the travel costs, like a Highland League side somehow makes it to the Third Round and has to play TNS away. There is no physical way that a team from that tier could possibly afford to travel that distance. All in all, great concept, only has to have more chances of unforgettable away days.

The "colts inclusion is pointless" argument was proven wrong with the Motherwell Colts progression to the quarter finals. I feel as if it is goes a long way in the development of young players and gets fans more engaged in the under 21 team

As a fan of a team from below the top flight of Scottish football, the introduction of Colt teams from the top flight sides isn't something I'm a fan of. Paying normal admission prices to go to a near training game with no away fans except a few parents of the younger opposition isn't fun or entertaining, an opinion I've heard voiced across different forms by supporters of other teams.
