I went Benidorm when my kids were 3 and 4 they’re now 53/52 . My god how it’s changed . It looks like everything I’d like to avoid .

I got my own scam attempt (I think) two weeks ago in Tenerife. Arrived, that evening walking the front at the Parque Santiago III and this young woman, heavily preggers comes up to me (I am with my wife and two teenage sons) and states that the baby is mine and that I should be ashamed and pay her 200 euros for what I did and that my woman will punish me for this. My wife laughed in her face and told her where to go...I was last on Tenerife two years ago and I have been 'seedless' for two decades!

THE CROWD reason I’ve never fancied Benidorm for holiday

I’ve been going to benidorm for years and these fraudsters have been there forever I can’t understand how people still fall for this plus you can spot these people a mile off

Watch out for the scratch cards scammers. Everyone is a ‘winner’ , but every ‘winner’ ends up a LOSER

Oh god the worst kind of holiday!

A bit off topic but, I remember visiting my dad in Tenerife for the first time when I was only 16, there would always be some random guy on a street corner trying to sell me "something". In fact one evening in the street, a guy tried asking me for "papers" and had this strange brown solid substance in his hand, possibly cannabis. Within seconds the police turned up just like that, they asked to see our IDs. I wasn't in trouble because my dad was nearby, I was waiting for him to return to the car after an evening in the pubs. The other guy, they bagged him. 😧

Looks like an absolute nightmare

That happened to me in Berlin. The people who carried it out were so normal and looked respectable! I completely fell for it and lost 100 euros! Ps Benidorm looked great and now I am thinking of holidaying there.

Good one Kevin, stay safe there are a few in the gang. Seen a women lose €100 in minutes whose husband wasn't best pleased with her. Pea men are not breaking Spanish law, it's the ones waging the money. The scam should be made illegal. Nice blog mate 👍

Great for raising awareness, as there's always people who don't know it's a scam. Also if you think you'll just watch the pickpockets will be taking advantage while you are distracted.

I've been to Benidorm 3 times and it doesn't do anything for me it's like going to Blackpool on a sunny day but that goes for some of Europe countries as well. Give an Asian country any day of the week with its heritage culture and traditions like Thailand they are the most friendliest honest people in the world.

Too many people around every corner for me to enjoy a holiday there at this time of year !!

My family just inherited a property in Benidorm , the place is a over populated , built up commercial dive , needless to say we sold the property, all subjective of course.

Good that you highlight those scammers Kevin…we saw them when we were there….we would never take part and it’s sad that people are taken in by them 😮

A common scam in Tenerife is where you are approached and asked if you have change for a two Euro coin, ie two single 1 euro coins, the scam is the coin they want to part ex with you is a South African coin that looks very much like a 2Euro coin but it is practically worthless, if approached just say “NO”

Great video. Benidorm looks as lovely as ever.🌴🌴 Haven't been since last Nov. Those bloody pea men they never give up do they. Fair play to you Kevin for filming and warming people about these theiving swines. 😂 I've been seeing them for the last 10 years in Benidorm. I was doing the same once filming them by the indoor market, and the same thing happened they picked up the box & moved on. But then only 15 mins later we saw them down on the beach front. They just don't give up. 😂 Seen them scarper a few times though when the police turn up. Ha ha 😁😅👍👍

Well done Kevin. We're going to have to go back there now. No one could understand why we liked it after our first visit but we did.And neither of us drink alcohol either for no other reason than we don't like the taste of it. We nearly got robbed on a train in Barcelona. We boarded the train and were unaware a group of youngsters had surrounded us where we were standing. On getting off the train a young girl stopped in front of my wife wheeling her suitcase and because she had the hump just pushed forward hitting the girls ankles. As we walked along the platform my wife told me we were being followed so we stopped and they had to walk past us and I spotted them going over to the other platform. As we proceeded up the escalator someone following us told me my wife's ruck sack was open. It had been dipped but we had nothing in it. A lucky escape but keep your eyes out for this trick Kevin. I can't believe people are still falling for the pea trick. But then several years ago I had a chat with a lad giving out scratch cards for holiday homes party's and when I said to him your not still using that old scam he told me even more people were falling for it. You've now got another Sub Kevin.

I like a corona, but not a sol. Sol is way too alcopop-ish, whereas corona still feels like a lager.

Here in Sweden they are STILL active with that crap in Gothenburgs park (Brunsparken) and in Stockholms Old town. And during my Canada trips last summer i saw it around Gas Town Van,BC. Altough before Sweden went with EU we didnt see much of that shit or this jokers of road fixers🤣🤣

My ma and da and wee bro lived in Finnistrat in Benidorm for a few years, my wee bro was just a kid and he learned all sorts of scams, British tourists did not know he was Glaswegian because he could speak Spanish and the old Spanish that most Spanish people can't even speak.

I saw this scam in Manchester some time ago. They have "punters" (their accomplices ) winning. Drawing the mugs in . I warned 3 of my cabby mates not to get sucked in... ignoring me, they each lost £50.00. The scammer's 3 mates all walked off in different directions. Then I saw them all meet up further down the road . How anyone can fall for this is beyond me.

Don't forget the dancing cutlery scam. A bit of music and the knives and forks literally start to dance. Of course you don't see the very fine wires, small electric motor and battery, but if you did the whole illusion is ruined. In the event of seeing this one, ask yourself why the cutlery in your kitchen doesn't dance when you turn on the radio. 😅

I love to see people enjoying their holidays but there are people in high authority that don't. I avoid the crowds as those same in authority have allowed criminals into our lovely haunts.

I fell a victim for this in benidorm as I was not aware of this scam last year. I recognise few members of the scam in this video. I made a video on tiktok to bring awareness for first timers going to benidorm, and the dealer on this video is the same guy with my video. I don’t understand how they haven’t been arrested yet.. there so much evidence and proof of who’s involved and what their intentions are..

Nothing new in Spain. I was in Spain in 81 and this woman approached me with a baby on the hip. She was gesturing with her fingers to her mouth for food Por favor I was eating my pizza at the moment and automatically just offered it to her. Spat a greenie right in my face. Went on holiday to Spain with the lads my friend lost some money with the scam,he came back to them night after convinced that he new how to win ,lost all his money,he had to stay in couple nights he was skint,spoiled rest his holiday

I filmed them in the same spot 20+ years ago with my camcorder. One of them immediately became very aggressive and chased me. A few years ago I was there and was telling people not to play. A young man was quickly relieved of 80 Euros having won his on his first 2 goes. He was v upset that he had been so gullible. My wife and I have sat having breakfast in a cafe up one of the side alleys there. The group of them, men and women, would come running by with the box every so often when their lookout had shouted that police on foot had been spotted. The police appear disinterested. It would be easy to form a coordinated plan to round them up. We still can't believe that people fall for this.

Tapas Alley is very commercialised of late, most of the tapas bars bought by the same businesses. At the start of you video, you panned round near the Burger King burger joint, that's Tapas Circle down there.Still independent tapas bars frequented by the Spanish and dirt cheap. Well done with the Pea Men BTW.

We got robbed on beach last year! Friends went in sea and my husband and I were distracted on our sun beds (whilst watching our friends stuff) for less than 30 seconds! They stole our friends wallet and phone!! So so quick and clever 😡
