I had no idea that was a home school book lol. I had acquired it most likely from the "little library" donation centers where people can donate books. I thought it would make a good resource for homeschooling when he got older or at that level.....all the while not knowing it was a real school book 🤣 . Im glad I kept it. I can order the workbook for it now that you provided the info.

does this come with a teachers guide as well? i cant get this anywhere and i am having the hardest time finding a social studies curriculum i like

Hi there! So I'm not sure if it has a teacher's guide because I don't use one. I also buy my textbooks used and so it doesnt come as a set. This will be our second year using this and I don't have any issues without a teacher's guide. Hope that helps!

How does this book deal with the subject of "the first Thanksgiving"? I can see from the flip-through that it is mentioned, but can't really tell how it is dealt with. This past school year, we did virtual learning, and the school's curriculum was Florida-based, and therefore fed the kids the false "everyone sat down for a meal together and lived happily ever after" line, and I'm interested in finding a social studies curriculum that is more historically accurate in that regard. Thank you!

Yes this book wouldn’t be what you’re looking for then. It gives a very brief description of the pilgrims landing and growing crops and inviting the Wampanoag tribe to a dinner later referred to as Thanksgiving. I’m definitely looking into a different history curriculum this year. I haven’t looked into it myself but I’ve heard goods things about Oh Freedom curriculum. Maybe check that one out. Hope that helps.

This video is about 2 years old so the links are definitely old and prices have certainly changed on things. Especially now that tons of people are looking for these books. That I have no control over.

Using now as well. I just wish it was from a more current year. Mine is from 2008. The book is nice, I just fear it may be outdated. Homeschooling due to Covid .
