I hate when people condemn other people who adopt from outside their native country. What difference does it make? A child's life is being changed, hopefully for the better. Does a child from your own country really mean more than one from anywhere else? I celebrate anyone who adopts.

What about the 500,000 children we have in foster care in the U.S? At any given time, 150k to 200k of them are available for adopion and it's basically free to adopt through foster care. How much did it cost for him to adopt children from Haiti?

It is also about the "Connection". The Hamilton's were down in Haiti, working with specific missions, and that is where, and when, their connections were made. It was a divine appointment. Love has no borders. There are still a lot of others in the States, who are experiencing these same connections through fostering/adoption. It is what God ultimately has planned that matters most.

Sabrina Shires , , ,,,, it wasnt until they went to Haiti that they decided to adopt. These two were in an orphanage not in a single foster home enviroment. Huge difference. The world is full of people like you who have better directions and answers for anothers lives, but do not have a compass for your own. You are not a good listener as well. Scott said through prayer they were led to adopt. If you dont understand that, you have more problems than you know. Prayers for you.

Meanwhile, two children who could have been adopted by the Hamilton's, will probably end up on the street begging for money, and eventually steal or engage in armed robbery, and go to jail.All because the Hamilton's turned their backs on two kids from their own country.
