I've always said that Scott is a "vocal chameleon!!" He is AMAZING 🤩🤩 Scotty is a very restless person. I think when he did the Happy boppy version, he also pictured a dark, moody version. Scott's mind is a Wonderland 🤩

I don't know why he did the thing. Maybe he just heard two different versions of it in his own head and couldn't decide which he liked more. He does seem to have his boppy fun side and his brooding more emotional side. He did put out, what, four(?) different versions of Mars - all of which had slight to major differences in lyrics and feel. I personally really like this version.

The colorful faster paced almost "boppy" version is said to go through the "Pride" colors. This is just dark and brooding and very "Broadway-centric" and shows off that gorgeous deep Bari-tone that Scott has and doesn't sing in all that often. Its not unusual for him to to do different takes of the same song, take Mars for instance....I love the video, but the Choir version is my favorite vocal version. I've not found anything official where Scott talks about why he did the different version of this song, but I think he just wanted to show a different side. He definitely has a fun side, but he's a Theatre kid at heart, so it may be that simple. The guy can sing the hell out of anything, in any key, in any style...its ridiculous!!!

I haven't seen anywhere that he's talked about his choices and reasons for the 2 versions. The feel that I get from them is that the original light boppy version is a happy love song. This one strikes me as expressing the plea/hope to stay together even in the dark and hard times. I think he also may just be having fun experimenting with options in production, exploring all the creative possibilities. His most recent TT and IG posts about the new children's book allude to the process of starting their family taking "longer than we expected". That process for them is for sure a "long and winding road" and I'm sure has it's ups and downs no matter how they are pursuing it (as it does for many couples, both gay and straight). Just random thoughts.... I love both versions, and enjoy listening to them side by side.

I can honestly say I do not know why he did it. I have been so absent from social media the last few weeks. What I can say is I am here for it. The first one of it to release (though I don't know which is the original), was chaotic Scott and I love it, BUT when this one came out, holy shit, it hit my soul hard and I CANNOT quit listening to it. Thanks

Hi! I’ve been MIA for a bit. Scott has been playing around on TikTok and instagram with making things “epic” sounding. I’m guessing he wanted to try to make this epic. And since it’s probably just him in a small room for the video and he has his own production stuff, the cost was low.

First off, love the hair. I like this version better. I don’t know why but it really touches me somehow. Maybe it’s the dark drama of it. I’m not a dark person, but this one really gets me. I am officially caught up now. Took a while, but I’m here now. I can officially comment on every video. Didn’t want to do it before because I didn’t want to overload you with comments. But I have a list of things that I wanted to comment about. Maybe I’ll DM you on Patreon and, tell you a few things. 🤗💋🥰
