1967! The summer of love. Remember it well. Lived it, breathed it, saw it like 10's of millions alive then and now. America was truly free still. The cost of living was dirt cheap compared to today. 25¢ a gallon gasoline, 25¢ a loaf Wonder bread 🍞. A house rented for $100 a month rent no lease, no deposit, no first and last, included all utilities except for the $3 a month landline rotary phone bill. Great time, great people, great era, great country, great music, great time to be alive then. A time never to return again.

Not listened to this for years. I’m the wrong side of 70 now and this track is so true. Probably like many others I would love to go back and start again. Life is good enjoy it.

I have visited San Francisco 4 times in my Canadian 74 years had an Aunt and Uncle there and cousins ......Aunt and Uncle are both gone now this brings back such great Memories Me , my wife and children Loved it there . I never tire of this song. Although I was a child of the 60's and living in UK I wasn't old enough to "take part" fully in the flower power era but did manage to put flowers in my hair and sing this at the top of my voice much to the annoyance of others. Maybe I saw what they didnt however looking back it was one of the best era's ever and one I really would have been a part of. Happy days and lots of great memories.

Tengo 48 años pero me hubiera gustado vivir esa época bonita

One of my uncles move there back in the 80s, he said it was the best time of his .. at the time. He met his first boyfriend there and thought he would be with him forever, this was one my uncles favorite songs. He told me that because it was being played when he first met his boyfriend. My uncle moved away from San Francisco 6 years later, after his boyfriend was murdered during a hate crime assault. My uncle who's now 60 has tears in his eyes when ever he hears this song.

Love this song and the video reflected the era. I was age 4 when this song came out and I remember my mother playing this song all the time. Wish I could have experienced it...but it was a time of people wanting peace amongst all the turmoil. We were still in the Vietnam War and I do believe all the protesters across the nation helped to end the bloody conflict. Sometimes I go back to this video for nostalgia and memories of my mother.

My wife and I where there for our honeymoon few years ago. It smelled like pee everywhere. People screaming on drugs- nobody cares. Homeless as much as you can look. We packed out bags at the end of our journey, bought some things to eat and gave it to those who rly needs it. ❤ Care about the world, doesn‘t matter where you are!

This video brings back memories of the late sixties. I love the cars. I spotted Timothy Leary at 0:15. I spent two weeks in San Francisco July 1973. I hitch hiked to San Francisco late June 1973. I Hitch hiked back to Michigan by myself, my friend got a plane ticket due to a felony warrant. Left San Francisco with less than 2 dollars. My first ride dropped me off at the Lake Tahoe exit off of I-80. As I got out of her truck she said, "watch out for grizzlies". Made it to Reno the next day. The exit ramp was full of hikers, so I Hopped a train from Reno Nevada to Ogden Utah. The view from the open box car doors at night was amazing as was going past the Great Salt Lake. I got shot at on the freeway outside of Cheyenne Wyoming at night. I ran like hell a long way through tall grass and hid in a culvert until they gave up looking for me. I ate mainly candy bars, sardines, and chocolate milk. I had a fantastic chicken dinner at a nice restaurant in Des Moines Iowa. I made it back to my home in Michigan in seven days. I was 17 years old at the time. My hair was full of burrs, and I was filthy when I got home. My girlfriend got the burrs out then I took a shower. That girlfriend became the mother of my two children.
