I genuinely love that they took everyone from the movie n turned them up x10 Young Neil isnt dumb, hes like, actually just an idiot. Knives isnt just a fan, shes part of the band, etc etc. i honestly love the changes

@@alessandrofigueroa8909 I didn't really mean it in a positive way. I felt like the series forced all the villains to suddenly be good guys. Why spend so much time humanizing the exes of all people, when it means leaving out characters like Lisa Miller or Kim Pine's past or SCOTT PILGRIM? I was completely fine with the exes being villains, and turning Todd from the straightest guy imaginable + a cheating asshole into a cutesy and shy gay dude... I mean that's ok when it's in a fanfiction by a 14 year old girl. But in this official adaptation it feels so out of place. The movie might have aged badly but at least it had Scott and Ramona interacting with each other rather than Ramona playing Sherlock Holmes for a dude she just met.

@@Hey-Its-Dingo Yeah. It's worth noting that the comic was written by a ≈20 year old O'Malley, and the anime was written by a ≈40 year old divorced O'Malley, and this really reflects in the content of both.

Refresher on comic Todd. He was a serial cheater that had no willpower. So little willpower his dad didn't believe Todd could go vegan and was right. Todd broke veganism multiple times and eventually was caught by vegan police. During him and Envy relationship he cheated on both Envy and Ramona and later also constantly cheating on Envy with the band's drummer while Envy was just a few rooms away Also in comics Gideon is truly horrible. He froze 6 of his ex girlfriends and was going to turn them and Ramona into his sex slaves. Created the Glow, a physiological virus which makes those affected be stuck in their own mind and insecurities so Ramona doesn't have any future success as it also spread to Scott.

@@NationalistsRuinAmericaI mean it’s pretty obvious not a lot of that stuff is canon anymore. Bryan has made efforts to rewrite and retcon a lot of stuff that was more hardcore and disturbing in the original series.

Some of the jokes in this show are a great combination of line delivery and visuals, like when Todd says "you can't fight the moonlight babe" and then Wallace shows up in the stars with no moon or moonlight whatsoever haha

I love LOVE the animation style with the extreme perspective and heightened action sequences. When I see that stuff, I instantly think "this has gotta be either Trigger or Saru. Nobody else makes these kinds of big swings and consistently lands them."

Fuck off. I can do a burst for something that drops all at once like this because guess what...there is a break at the end of the tunnel. It's a few days and I'm done. I also have to play the algorithm game with these types of releases...I did the same thing with OPLA. Where is the end for the One Piece anime like that along with everything else? It's not in a few days. It's not in a few years. Every one of these comments just makes me dread the next post. I'm a fucking person over here. I'm not a machine. I'm not doing two Ted Lasso episodes or two Agents of SHIELDs a week. We have to hit these Netflix drops while they are relevant.
