Damn, I gained a whole new level of respect for Scott. And that’s saying something, as I’ve been following his content since 2015 when I started as an illustrator at a midwestern agency. He’s an inspiration. Toward the end of the interview, Ed asked him what’s been surprising and Scott had a look of reflection on his face and his voice kinda broke as he answered. Sincere moment, great episode.

I really liked the L2 historical lessons. The best parts of this podcast are Scott's advice based on his esperience and Ed's questions. Please do more of these where you share life experiences and lessons. Thanks to everyone on the #ProfG podcast team for continually innovating

I'm not big on writing KZfaq comments, but I can't help expressing how remarkable this episode is. Absolutely outstanding. Hearing someone's failures is far more insightful than hearing of their successes. It's unlikely that we'll repeat anyone's unique path to success but we often _will_ share many of their failures. There's also catharsis in commiseration. It's refreshing to hear a genuine, relentlessly candid dialogue in contrast to the scripted and whitewashed hero narratives that are omnipresent in modern media. Thanks for sharing.

One of the best episodes yet, from one of the best podcasts ever. I still vividly remember that day when - after getting us all hooked on the dopamine rush of "Winners and Losers" week after week - you suddenly went "We won't see you next week". Painful. And now to hear that this is your last venture... let's just enjoy this incredible ride as long as we get the privilege of Scott's wisdom, wit and experience!

I’m just a 55 year old SAHM raising my grandkids here in TexAss and damn, Prof, you got me all inspired up in here. Thanks for the sincerity and emotion in all of your ‘casts, particularly around boys/men and emotional security and demonstrative intimacy.

Damn. Scott getting emotional at the end was incredible. That level of thankfulness is wonderful. The jab at Ed to take the edge off was perfect 😂 Great show today!

Outstanding content. This is the Scott I was so amazed to see at L2. This is superhero Scott… egotistical and humble. Pensive and extroverted. Touché Scott… life’s been good!

My only Mormon friend had me over when I was alone for Christmas, I witnessed his daughters baptism, worked on a desk beside him in a high stress job. He worked so hard, had a great sense of humour, very intelligent, and never ever once tried to convert me. The family values and health conscious lifestyle was typical of the people I met at the church during the baptism. Great, loving, thoughtful and responsible, mature people. I loved every Mormon I've met, more than most anyone else except Sikhs. Sihks are effin awesome too. -written by some random middle aged white guy in urban Canada.

Scott is always dropping truth, and is a 100% Sicario.. I'm very thankful that he shares deep and in an open way all his life transforming experiences. Ed, has become top pick in the draft level interviewer, with unlimited upside. Ed's natural interviewing persona, the way he organically invites responses deems him worthy of a 100% interviewing great leaders show & panel leader at conferences/events etc..

Absolute favorite episode so far. Love learning about the markets and your perspectives but I glean so much value in these candid interviews about your successes and failures. My father is a 60+ hours a week architect and engineer that bleeds for his own company, you aren’t kidding about the sacrifices it takes to run a successful company. As an ex Mormon I laughed my ass at your intro, it is painfully accurate

I think in a lot of ways I have a similar personality to him started a few companies wanted pretty well in the sold but on a pretty small scale but I have close family who have sold companies for many tens of millions or been high up with a company that's IPO'd but starting a company especially doing something brand new at a startup that is almost certain to fail just statistically is so much harder than people think. After I sold my company then went to work for a huge Agtech unicorn and I realized really quick I can't work for a big company. Right now I'm looking for another company idea but in the meantime I started a traditional small business in a pretty good market that I like but I'll still always look at doing a bigger startup even though I know the pain lol

Its interesting that this interview comes full circle -- Scott didn't want to work at corporations because he couldn't stand the microaggressions, and he concludes by becoming a boss who is, "I'm all fucking over everyone all the fucking time." So the real question is, can you build something worthwhile without being an a**hole? That's the part that is hard. Can you treat people with dignity and still grow value?

1% Fed tax on all real estate nationally. Including Mormon Tabernacle. I love Utah. Solitude, Alta, Snowbird… Saw the NBA all-star game there. The Church is beautiful, but have all real estate pay 1% Fed tax. It will then be returned to all people who filed taxes once in last two years and who paid $1 or more. “1% for The Good” 🤓
