No disrespect intended toward the creator of this content, but far too many comic book reviews and reading orders don’t understand how to do these videos without giving away spoilers. There are several here, and while I appreciate anyone going out of their way to create free content for us luddites that are late to the game, I was a little disappointed after coming back to read Batman after close to two decades of hiatus to have a few major spoilers ruining the experience of a first time read. Please beware. Maybe check out the creators other content, but if you’re sensitive to spoilers look elsewhere for your reading order.

If you guys just want to read what happens after Batman got done with the court of owls, I highly recommend you read the Talon series where it follows the pov of Calvin Rose, and gives more of an insight on how the secret society operates on the Talons level. I read Death of the Family, and it was a good creepy Joker story sure, but because the story deviated from the court of owls I don't quite understand why it's considered to be part of that storyline. There, that's how you NOT give spoilers for those of us who don't have money trees growing in their yard to afford things when they immediately come out.

You can get it in the volumes like I did (I personally got the court of owls mask and book set which gets you the mask and the first volume and then get the second volume ‘The City of Owls’) or you can get the absolute edition which tells the whole court of owls story in one sitting and has a lot of concept art and variant covers and all that but that option is super expensive like almost 100 bucks. First option is cheaper

I notice for Year Zero, you can get it digitally on Comixology either as separate volumes or as one collection, but the one collection seems to have fewer pages than buying the two volumes separately. What would give me the best story?

That’s an alternate title people call it as in the second volume, there are multiple tie in comics that are about nightwing, batgirl, Robin, and the rest of the bat family fighting the talons trying to assassinate people. They are confusing to read if you’re trying to read in chronological order but also don’t need to really read them as it says in the second volume “city of owls” that they apprehended the talons and stopped them. TLDR: night of the owls are the tie ins and don’t matter really unless you want something else to read and wonder how the bat family stops the talons

@@RhMoSh for me I only have the Nightwing night of the owls story add on but I heard there’s batgirl, red hood, cat woman but none of em interested me but you can also just read what they do during the night of the owls story. It takes place like at different times of the night too
