this is the kind of man Scott Stapp is...my friends wife was dying of brain cancer..and a huge Creed fan...friend of a friend knew somebody..long story short..Scott called her personally and talked to her. She didn't make it til the tour date before she passed but that brought such great joy to her in her last days. A complete stranger to Scott but he took a moment to put a smile on this woman's face!

He's telling a personal story here, struggling with overcoming feelings of hopelesness. His Faith helped him turn it around. He's being open and honest about his struggles and it can help others.

Love his music, his struggle, and coming full circle back to the Lord is such a testimony to us all.

God bless you Scott. Lots of people praying for you dude. Many others also suffer with addiction and mental illness. Kept you path straight, your heart pure and your eyes focused on the cross.

I have been a Creed/Stapp fan for a long time. After the Great Divide came out I was thrilled to see his singing again and we loved the few shows we were able to see. Then I went into a spin. I was getting hit by all sides. I was tired and beaten I just couldn't bare on more hit. I was just waiting for the knockout punch unable to lift my arms to block anymore, so I decided to retreat. I just stayed home. I never went out if I did I was always on alert I just hated my life. I stayed in bed for weeks I cried everyday I just wanted everything to go away. I thought if I moved back to my home state near friends it would get better, but no. I'd given up and just went through the motions. Then one day my son said to me listen to this. I heard a familiar voice It felt familiar and it felt good. My son played a cd I had played a million times and never had it made me cry until that day. That day he played my own Prison It was like waking up from a long deep sleep. Then he showed me this video I had no idea he had released another cd I was so glad to see him singing, but the words spoke to me more. Now more than ever. I am grateful to my son for reminding me of the passion of life and to Creed/stapp for writing the lyrics that touched my heart and got me up and fighting again. No matter what your battle is you can win. You can't stop fighting you can't give up. I am living everyday like it should be living it with hope, love, joy and faith. thank you so much for reminding me how important faith is without faith we have nothing. God Bless.

Truly powerful song by Stapp, he's back in a big way like the old Creed days. This whole album is fantastic from all the ones that have come from Creed members over the last few years, Tremonti's solo effort the new Alter Bridge cd I find Stapps solo effort to be the tops of them all. Looking forward to where you go from here Mr. Stapp. I might suggest as the rumours going around that the stalled works on the next Creed cd you guys had planned were stalled by Tremonti. Who does not seem to be into Creed much anymore you might want to consider if Flip and Brian also want to do another Creed cd taking on E-Rock as the lead guitarist he was amazing on Creed''s last tour, also understand he has written a song that you guys did for the new Creed cd that was in the works that was supposed to be mind blowing. I like how his style meshed with Creeds on the last tour give it some thought. Kudos on a fantastic solo effort Proof of Life ROCKS!!
