it's true that for the wider audience, dre is the only one who produced still dre, because they have no clue. But saying scott storch made the beat is false. the most recognizable part of the beat is of course the piano riff which was played by scott storch so one could say he made the beat, but the rest was produced by dre and also mel man.
@bobbywonder24637 жыл бұрын
Exactly! Storch did the piano part the rest was dre
@KaizerMan7 жыл бұрын
Dre picked the instruments though, did the drums, probably arranged structure and did the hook and turned it from a riff to a song which Jay-Z wrote the verses for. Scott definitely did the magic for the song though that made it a hit so props to him

It’s proven that you can last longer in the music industry, when you can create like this. Pharrell is another one. Songwriter/Producer combination. Still creating to this day. Not to be funny but, you can see where sample based producers didn’t last as long. Scott been making original music since day one. It’s how you get all your publishing deserved.

So Scott Storch creates the melody, plays it & put drums behind it & because Dre tells S.Storch how to put it down in ProTools & Dre mix it...Dr.Dre gets the producer credit? That ain't right
