One thing I'm learning from you is how all your notes are equal. I've been playing for many years and after watching you , I realized at how much I rush my fill groupings.. like you said, make sure all my limbs have the same amount of space. Working on it, thanks

Hey Jeff.......I have a question about kick heads......I,m using the Evans emad2 clear.....not liking all that muffling stuff on the head though.......I think you use the G2.....would you suggest trying the g2 or Eq3 for playing heavier music.....thanks

@@joedrumsmapex I used the EQ3 for years, it's a great head. I switched to G2s about 5 years ago because I liked how it opened up the drum a bit more and the feel felt softer with lower tuning which is what I tune to.

I just started playing drums a couple of weeks ago. Before that I was interested in learning double pedal. Now that I'm actually trying to learn and finding it very difficult just to put a extra kick in on the A of 2 I think I'll hold off on the double pedal for a bit haha. Man, learning the drums is fun and all but I severely underestimated how difficult this was going to be

Welcome to the drum family! Caution: This lesson is "Advanced". Definitely not for beginners. FYI I've has countless beginning drum students study double bass to help them with all of their foundational drumming skills. You just need the right path and guide. I'll be posting some beginner double bass lessons soon.
