Colin Cowherd reacts to Scottie Scheffler being arrested before the second round of the PGA Championship. In the WNBA, Caitlin Clark is off to a rough 0-2 start after playing the more experienced Connecticut Sun and New York Liberty. She finished with nine points, seven rebounds and six assists in her Indiana Fever home debut. Colin explains why the WNBA needs to do better to help Clark and further boost the league.

Only 9 other teams she could have played... and they would still be mad unless she had the worst defense in the WNBA to go up against, and then they'd be talking about how the refs need to help her out or that they should disallow double teams or full court defense. It's wild... The league will keep getting better, there are talented players coming into the league every day, and the league is expanding. They don't need to cut corners to appease fans that were never going to stay long term anyways.

Whether she succeeds or not is up to her level of play and that’s out of your control, but simply easing her into the league is. The problem with what he is talking about is all the people he named were actually great player's. Caitlyn is a propped up good player with a lot of flaws in her game. A sophomore guard that was 4 inches shorter than her shut her down in the championship game. Yes she shut her down , 11 points in three quarters while guarding her. Plus 4 turnovers. So I don't know why people thought professional women would not be able to do the same thing.

There’s only 12 teams in the WNBA so there’s only so much you can do with the schedule. Could they have traded out the Sun for the Storm? Yeah, but I’m not sure that would have mattered. Caitlin is going through an adjustment period, as all rookies across all sports do. The only people shocked by this are people that bought into this idea that she was going to immediately dominate the league. Those of us that watch the WNBA knew she would go through this. There’s only been a handful of rookies that have come into the W and immediately dominated and the one thing they mostly had in common was size. Candace Parker and Stewie came in at 6’4” and used their size to bully people as they refined their game. Caitlin doesn’t have the size/strength so it’s going to take her a minute to settle in. Ultimately, she’ll be fine but please have realistic expectations.

Tiger was playing against grown men at 19 20. She was playing against women who's talent is no where close to what she would face professionally. She never improved in college. She didn't get stronger or become a better defender. Fast orward. Toughness questioned high numberof fouls..

Not using "Rental Cars" CC, they have marked courtesy cars for players, etc... at these tournaments. This helps the officials recognize who can go where in terms of security and logistics. LMPD ofcr. either missed the briefing or didn't read emails with pictures!

Don't compare Messi or Beckham. They played as 18yr old against grown men, showed their metal and that's why they have the goat status. Not because they were 'eased' into the league with easy games.

WNBA needs to be highlighting its stars in the early season WAY more than Caitlin Clark. She’s not ready. Breanna Stewart, Diana Tarasi, Aja Wilson, Kelsey Plum. These players are where the WNBA’s money is.

I can't believe how much we have to listen to stuff about the WNBA these days. I don't get it. I have never met one guy in my life that has ever talks about even watching One WNBA game. There must be a growing woman audience that watches Colin Cowherd because it was my understanding that his audience is almost entirely male. How many of you guys care about the WNBA at all?

She's a hot topic, white women love her n mostly men that really don't even watch basketball just like her, it's kinda like the Stanley cup , it's been around for a while but this past year someone said it was the best then all the women wanted one in it made more money in the past year than it had its entire existence, so basically women are the biggest spenders even if a man buying and using cc band might bring you new eyes

Too many turnovers at the 1. Plus she can't get herself open yet, so starting her off with the ball just eats clock. You're going to have to pass to someone else and then let her get open off ball, where you might as well have started with her off ball in the first place.
