Prior to the 2024 RBC Heritage, FedExCup leader and World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler discusses the differences between Augusta National Golf Club and Harbour Town Golf Links, how winning the Masters for a second time was different than the first, why he thinks Ludvig Åberg is a good player and how he plans to prepare for the next major.

One week after the Masters, the PGA TOUR heads to South Carolina for the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links. This is the fifth of eight Signature Events in the season. Scottie Scheffler returns to the field this week, despite being fresh off a victory at the Masters. The world No. 1 has not shot an over-par round all season and has three victories (and one runner-up) so far in 2024. He made his debut at Harbour Town last year and finished T11. Matt Fitzpatrick looks to become the first golfer to go back-to-back at the RBC Heritage since Boo Weekley in 2007-08. Fitzpatrick, a playoff victor last year, has two top-10 finishes this season. He has just one missed cut at Harbour Town over the last six years. Ludvig Åberg will also be in South Carolina this week after his impressive second place finish in his Masters debut. He has four top-10s (including two runner-up results) so far this season and is knocking on the door for a victory. Others to look out for this week are Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Hideki Matsuyama and Viktor Hovland.

It’s not religion. It’s a faith in Jesus. Religion is man’s concept on reaching God. Scottie does not believe in that at all. And his faith is why you like him

The other idea that's absolutely ridiculous is that you need religion to be a wonderful and moralistic person. But if you want to believe in fantasies and nonsense and myths and supernatural. Weird stuff then go for it. I could care less. But if you're going to debate me, I will laugh in your face at the idea of a supernatural God and son!

He gets time off next week. It's not a bad life. lol. It sure beats a 9 to 5. The guy is 27 and is probably worth 100 million dollars. Life is good for Scottie. But I'm sure playing the Tour can be tough at times, like any other job is. It's life. I always joke w/ my gf, in my next life, I'm going to be a pro golfer. You travel to the best places, play the best courses, eat great food and if you're good enough, make life changing, generational money.

It’s one of those elevated events where I think most of the players commit to play in. This one has no cut, extra fed ex pts, and bigger purse too. I have become one of his best fans. He’s easy to root for. Very unassuming guy who lets his clubs speak for him.

I think Scottie is man, everyone like because his attitude is is very dissent, stabil, solid, honest and funny guy! And offers himself and people like that ! The one about "the average golf fan" was the biggest eye roll I've had in a long time. You have the world number one in front of a mic and you ask him that. If media was more concerned about enhancing sport content and not making a dramatic headline by antagonizing, we'd have better questions

golf reporters ask the stupidest questions. leave the guy alone about his personal life. there’s a million interesting questions you can ask him about actual golf but you choose to ask if his wife is showing any early signs of labor… actually embarassing
