My wife is on her 2nd one. Loves it, perfect size for around town. High 50's mpg. 5 years servicing with it as well.

Good review, but just a couple of points. 1. The locking fuel flap is not a common feature across all new Hondas. The Jazz does not have a separate lever in the cabin. Once the car is unlocked, so is the fuel flap. 2. The HRV in common with some other Hondas may be described as having an ECVT gearbox, but the reality is that it does not have a gearbox. The electric motor and petrol engine drive through a single gear, albeit a different single gear in each case. In fact this transmission is a true marvel.

no cvt in this car, the engine works as a generator just like the jazz(fit) and civic and only has a high gear for highway speeds. For low speeds it is driven by an electric motor only.

I'd defo buy one of these over a VW group car. The 'descent contro'l is more a more intense recharge mode that makes driving down steep windy mountain roads smoother and less brake intensive.. like shifting down to third or 2nd for really tight turn/gradients. For me one of the biggest gripes is that funny top down middle seatbelt. Super fiddly - esp if you want to carry a kid in that seat.

I prefer the size of the fit/jazz and am sad we don't get the new ones in the US anymore. Please do a review of their new ones coming out! Thanks. Great video.

I currently have Jazz EX Hybrid and am considering part exchanging it for an HR-V, the petrol filler cap on my Jazz unlocks when the car is unlocked.

Can you please tell me how many miles per tank Honda hrv can run?

I would happily have one. It clearly does a lot of things very well and being a Honda it's the real deal on quality and reliability. Incidentally my Mum's CRZ doesn't have an internal fuel door release, so not all Honda's are like that!

A brief but good review.Now running my second CRV hybrid, which has been 100 % trouble free over the past 18 months, just like my previous one.I know design is subjective but i love the appaerance of the hrv, and given that the new 6th generation crv is now over £46, 000 the hrv is much better value for money.However, my own research reveals one really disappointing problem with the hrv, and that is the continued problem of " flat battery ", even on cars only 3 or 4 months old.Owners are reporting that after leaving the car standing for 4 or 5 days it won,t start. As far as i am aware this problem has still not been properly addressed by Honda, which is simply not good enough.....have a look on the owner forums, ther are in excess of 12 pages highlighting this problem.Come on Honda, a software " re-boot " is simply not good enough !!!!!!

Mine is 2 years old, I've had 14 cars, French, German, and an Italian, this is the first Japanese and the best, quality, comfort, behavior, safety, smoothness and driving pleasure, thank you Honda and sorry for not having tried another model before p.s. and it's simply beautiful👌🇵🇹

i replaced my 2019 EX hrv for the 2022 advance ehev currently with carefull driving to and from work 6 days a week im saving 20 quid a week compared to the old petrol only car, put it in battery mode you dont need to use your brakes untill the last second to stop, current global fuel economy is 55.7 mpg however if you use climate control and drive fast there is little saving over the old model......plus side.... fuel economy wireless apple car play big wheels for smooth ride high ground clearence and yes hill assist works off road, down side.....tiny boot no spare wheel no front passenger seat height adjustment tall rear passengers struggle with roof height. overall the spec from the old EX hrv was astounding the spec on the advance is lacking...no sunroof no leather seats silly center rear seat and droopy rear armrest.....in conclusion i was aiming to trade my way up to the ECRV but ive decided i like the shape and driving of this car to much...its a keeper even with its faults and saving up to £80 a month in petrol has got to be worth it.......and did you know you can wave your foot under the rear bumper and the boot opens...salesman did not tell me that. oh yes finaly the noise it makes when accellerating hard......honda managed to make it sound like its changing gear even though its only got one gear being cvt...very cool but its LOUD very LOUD im still young (58) so i like a loud roar but some people might not like it ...put it in performance mode and feel the electric motors and the engine shred the front tires in full power mode it is impressive i like it.

Based on price and size I would rather go for the CRV hybrid although it is a nice looking car and will return better MPG , I don’t think you can beat the 2.0 litre petrol engine for reliability .

Honda , highly respected brand but this and the 2 others are quite plain and ugly . Even the zr looks like it was designed 10 yrs ago or more even a 2014 model Audi Q3 or 5 is better looking than any of the latest 3 honda SUV shapes. Shame honda havnt visually excelled since the previous models . Zr sport with a pack in metallic , but sadly no sunroof 😢 43 k sterling. It's not value ,in fact it's costing £££ a full EV price , 😢. Advice notes Back to the design board honda . Go to a couple of china motor shows if you need inspiration and want to keep or gain your mkt share.
