We have detailed out some great hiking trails near the Cascade Locks for you to check out some amazing waterfalls. Travel with us on this video to explore some of the most amazing falls along the Columbia River. This is an easy day trip from Portland, Oregon- a quick 45 minute drive depending on traffic.
Travel along the Columbia River Highway National Scenic Byway and check out numerous falls: Multnomah, Latourell, Bridal Veil, Wahkeena Falls, Horsetail Falls, Triple Falls and Upper Elowah Falls.
Make sure to stop off at the Locks Waterfront Grill for a great lunch, interested in a Steamboat Ride? Check out my link below to find out more details on that.
Bonneville Dam and Fish Ladder also might interest you, below is the link to learn more about that.

The Columbia River Gorge is a canyon of the Columbia River in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. Up to 4,000 feet (1,200m) deep, the Cascade Range, forming the boundary between the state of Washington to the north and Oregon to the south. Estending with the Deschutes River ( and the towns of Roosevelt, Washington, and Arligton, Oregon) in the Portland metropolitan area, the water gap furnishes the only navigable route through the Cascades and the only water connetion between the Country Plateau and the Pacific Ocean It is thuts that the routes of Interestate 84, U.S. Route 30, Washington State Route 14, and railroad tracks on both run through the gorge. This gorge is a popular recreational destination and is federally protected as the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area.Very nice photos, very nice video , thank you for the tour.

I'm curious what month this was taken. I heard the best time to see the waterfalls is in the spring but I wonder if that means if we go in fall if they will be dried up.

We were there at the end of June, if I was going to go again I would do late spring into summer to get the most out of the falls.
