We did this video as a thank you to our Dad for all the effort and sacrifices that he has made in our lives that have allowed us to live this BMX filled life of ours. My Dad didn't come from money and he worked hard against all the odds and built a life for himself and his family that we are all so proud of. His commitment to BMX and action sports have affected so many lives from running the BMX track and building one of the longest running indoor skateparks in the country. Since my crash I wake up everyday a different person from the Professional BMX rider I used to be and it's so hard to accept that I will never be a normal person physically again but when I think about how my Dad beat the odds it inspires me to keep working to be a better version of myself but also to stop and appreciate just how blessed I am to be able to still have the pieces of my life that are still there. We are lucky to be able to call you our "Dad"

Watching Big Scott go from talking freely with huge pride about Scotty's early days and achievements, to choking up when it came to talking about Scott's accident. You can see that even today how raw the memories and emotions are from that time. Then back to the pride in Scott's progress to where he is today and to Matt's riding now. It was an incredible watch. Thanks to Big Scott for agreeing to do it.

@@Mountain321 I have said the same thing in the past before, because that Dew Tour crash video Scotty did recently he said he was transitioning to using a full-face all the time. I don't know if it would've prevented him from breaking his neck, hell it might've made it worse. There's no way to know but it doesn't matter now anyway, it's done and over none of us can change the past.

In 2005 my mom took my friends and I to incline club. I ate it hard the 6ft spine. Big Scott ran out and helped me. Once he knew I was good he went over to my mom and explained that I got a shinner and my pads made it look worse. He stayed there and talked to her for 20 minutes talking about being a BMX parent. After that my family’s support was much better. What was cool is after I got done riding, my mom introduced me to Big Scott who brought me in the back to meet Scotty. All in all the Cranmer family made every other skatepark trip disappointing.

Can we all take a moment to thank BSB and Mama Donna for their contributions to BMX? They raised two of the sport's most amazing riders, run a skatepark that contributed to the careers of countless riders including Garrett Reynolds and if course scotty, run a bike shop that helped provide riders all over with bikes and parts, always given 100% to support their boys' careers, and always been a huge part of the community. The whole family is a pillar of the community. They are one of the most involved and dedicated families in the sport and we are lucky to have them. Thanks to both of you for uplifting the sport so much and bringing us two of the greatest riders we have had. I love hearing BSB's memories and would love more videos of his memories from his career in the sport alongside his boys careers. Truly one of the sports most inspiring families. They exemplify love of the sport and dedication to keeping family in it. Love you all.

Big Scott BMX is goals. My dad was such a great father growing up too. I always thought I had it in my DNA to be a great father as well. I'm 38 years old with no kids and it truly bums me out. I had two unofficial step-kids up until January that were my life. I can only hope they find a father figure to guide them the way BSB has guided you and my dad guided me. I appreciate you so much Scotty. I've been extremely depressed since I lost my family, but this video has brought me some peace. I love your family so much and that love and appreciation grows everyday. You're a real inspiration and so is BSB. I've been a fan of yours for longer than I can remember and have been subscribed since well before your accident. And I'll be here following and supporting you until my end or yours. You are a legend! ❤

This is probably one of my favorite videos. So many cool stories. Big Scott is a special person. I could tell how hard it was for him to talk about Scott's accident, as a father, that hits hard. Those stories about the bmx community coming together right after the accident are awesome. Did BSB happen to reach out to the Fields family after Connors wreck in the olympics? I'm just curious, I've always viewed the BMX community as so much closer than it appears because of how relatively small it really is.
