You can customize the sizes, so I can add the radius to the edges for the front, the thickness, and maybe even squares to match the portal edge bunk extensions. Im going to look into the ICECO! Thanks so much for commenting. I actually installed a full Diode Dynamics set up. I replaced the stock fogs, added ditch lights, and added reverse lights. I did a whole video on the upgrade if you're interested! I find the stock headlights totally fine. Mine are the LED, and I think for normal driving, they are more than enough. When I need more light ahead of me, the front ditch lights are fantastic, and have way more than enough light for me.

Thank you for such a detailed response! If I was going to add a AC, I was probably going to be doing a full battery set up like you suggested. I would love to transition to the Lithium phosphate batteries, and have a much larger array of useful ports than what come standard on the Yeti X models. Currently, the yeti works really well for my needs but I know that If i do any sort of AC, it will require a huge upgrade to the power system. Im not fully ready to dive into that yet, since the current situation is good enough for now. I recently added a second solar panel to the roof, and added the secondary MPPT charger for the Yeti. it allows me to have quite a bit of charging while driving down the road which has helped a lot. it was a rumor a while ago, and I still hope that someday it becomes true, but the talk was that Scout was going to make a swapable AC unit that goes where the diesel heater goes. Since the heater cam come off, you would be able to swap back and forth for whatever you need during that season. With talking to Scout, they said thats not on the table and havent been working on it. But I still hope it becomes a reality some day. Heck, maybe ill even sit down and try and figure it out haha.

@@FoxandFir yeah the only unit that I can think of that can do that is there's a bunk unit that some of the OBIs and the Australian trailers use but it does not work well.... Even with the scouts insulation factors I would not bother with it. It struggles when Ambient temps get above 80° and that's where you need air conditioning. (I have one in my dweller 13) The other thing is the performance is very intermittent with them and although in theory you could pull some temp out the unit. You run constantly. Granted it doesn't freeze up but still that's a thousand watts every hour. To go from like 90° to like 80. If you don't want to have to go to massive on the upgrade setup you could try the dometic 1000 but 8000 BTUs is really low...

@@FoxandFir The other thing is the dometic is tested in "camping environments" which nobody will disclose what the actual ambient temps are. Nomadic cooling is headquartered in Mesa Arizona and they test their units in Arizona heat of 120°. That's also why when you look at their product page it mentions 91 amps but they ask for a 150 fuse It's because startup loads are incredibly high in hot temps, and although it should use 91 amps it could also go higher than that if the ambients are high enough.

Honestly, Yes it's way too much. Not just for the suspension, but the brakes and transmission also. It would probably be fine for short, 10-15 mile trips. But anything long distance you would really be running some pretty serious risks. They do have their new pop ups coming out, which save a TON of weight. They will have their Kenai pop up coming out fairly soon, that should come in at much lighter than what mine is! Might be worth checking out!

No problem at all! I will answer any question you have! So, We REALLY wanted to get them, but it just didn't make sense for us. I am often camping in very cold temperatures, and while the windows are insulated, they are not as close to the actual insulation in the walls. I didn't want to be camping in the cold, and then having our heads right next to a chilly window. We also drive A LOT. Each trip is roughly 3-4K miles total, so the chances of a rock getting kicked up and going through the window is high for us. I didn't want to have to worry about that. The front of the camper tends to be a bug magnet, so chances are we would just be staring at about a billion bugs splattered across the window anyway haha. We would of loved the added cross ventilation and extra light, but it just was a no-go for us.

Unfortunately no, the batteries at all packed in the system and connected to the MPPT, and inverters. The only thing I could do, is use the 1500 to charge the 3000 via the 120 AC inverter, but thats just too much hassle for what it is.

Hi, im really sorry you are having issues. So a few things, Scout only made the 3000X standard as of 7 weeks ago, so any camper ordered before then, would be with the 1500X as standard. If you wanted to upgrade to the 3000X, you would need to cut into the top of the cabinet just like I did. I don't understand why the 1500X would be "too old". My 1500X is older than yours, and the app works perfectly fine for me. It seems like there is either a miscommunication between you and Goal Zero, or what you are expressing to me. I know that Goal Zero had an issue with an update that they pushed to the X series of batteries, but im not sure if that's why it needs to be returned to the factory. And if there was an actual issue with the Yeti, that would be an issue with GoalZero, and not Scout unfortunately. Im sure Goal Zero, or Scout will take care of you and get you a brand new 1500X, or repair yours.

Thanks for the reply I don't think was miscommunication the tech at Goal zero was awesome we tried every thing he knew to try hard restart. shutting it down I think its set at the Scout plant for so long the firm wear will not update. @@FoxandFir
