The Scout Perk has finally been buffed for all Family characters meaning Hitchhiker, Johnny and even leatherface! It's quite a big change and more nerfs to Victims but lets see how much the perk has changed in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Game.

buffing a perk that's seen as the best in the game was certainly one way of going about it. the way its done makes it seem like its intended as a nerf, which is kinda worrying if they misunderstand their own game that much. I don't think base movement speed increases should be on any perk. A safer change to it would be to keep it as is, but remove it from LF's skill tree, still not great but better than what they've done

@Stephalump especially now that choose flight took a hit in the gut, scout was fine I think it just needed a higher damage nerf. But jeeze, now im gonna have Johnny, HH, and leatherface up my cheeks doing full damage

People need to realise that movespeed always prevails as one of the best stats in video games in general. There are SO MANY games where movespeed/mobility is actually one of the most powerful things you can have because mobility is a three in one package. Moving faster means you can chase and be aggresive, so it's an offensive stat, but it also means you can escape and avoid better so it's also a defensive stat. Oh, but you can also move to a better tactical position faster and move with/coordinate with allies better so it's also a utility stat! Even in games where one of these elements are missing, mobility is always king.

I need to check the game out again. I've not played it since November 2023 and was messing with a Scout build on Leatherface and loved how fast he was, and now with no damage penalty I bet it's even more fun.

I honestly wasn’t expecting them to drop stamina regeneration (though about it), i expected them to either to increase damage reduction, drop speed, or even both. This is slight nerf to defense characters (Cook and Nancy), buff to chasers (Hitch and Sissy), and an overhaul on offense (Johnny and Buba). Pretty sure they’ll add the damage reduction back or do a 5/5% drop. 🤔

@@cowboy5944 yah agreed, also never had an issue going against someone with scout when i play as victim unless i’m in an open area. Otherwise victims have powerful perks and abilities, insane loops, and crawl spaces. Hell don’t even get me started with hit box issues family has and auto aim.

Tip for the camera bug on Johnny if you feed grandpa it will fully fix it

I'm keen to try Bubba with Rough Cuts now it works on all chainsaw hits. It's a huge 7 hit points (that's equal to around 25% damage increase). You could couple that with Vial-ent and Hysterical Strength for a massive 49 hit points just in a normal swing. Not sure if it stacks like Serrated, but it should do.

It doesn’t work, I tried it this morning. Absolutely 0 of my regular hits, overhead swings, and thrust attacks caused it to activate. It didn’t stack before hand, but now it just doesn’t seem to work. Maybe I got unlucky, but for it to not trigger once, it’s broken. Edit: I won’t lie, I got pretty mad when I realized it’s still not working. Rough cut could be such a good perk, yet the devs can’t seem to get it to work.

@@richd8907Yeah I’ve been using rough cut since launch, this is the final straw for me. Now I’m using big swings. If they didn’t fix it now, idk if they ever will.

@@JohnWick-kb5jr it hasn't been working since the grapple changes. before that, rough cut did work as intended. I know because, I was using it to get gallows kills and I would regularly get incaps from a single overhead. after the grapples changes, it stopped and I switched to scout.

@@TheNemesis442 Well appreciate the post. Yeah, stick with Big Swings side of the skill tree. I suppose it wouldn't matter if trying new builds wasn't such a pain in the ass going through skill trees and random perks. At least have those load outs allow for totally different builds and specs.

Technically it's also more than 10% more damage from the old scout to the new one because 10% off 100% is 90% BUT 10% added back to 90% is only 9% making it only 99, so it's more than a 10% damage buff comparatively to the Old Damage, if only 1 more percent% or so

I think Fired up was nerfed slightly . If I’m correct at max it was 90% but now it’s 75%

They need to buff family because they need to rework the fuse and the valve. If the fuse exit is too far away to reach or if the valve is too hard to open, then the 3 killers can just camp the remaining exits.
