LORE UPDATE: transcendence cutscenes actually show the past, Adventurer is innocent - they aren't the one attempting to murder everyone, it's actually Prisoner from computer logs (now also known as "Your Inferior" or Yi). She's aware of Adventurer's presence in thr Impossibility and she also is one who set up most puzzles. Remember that inflicted people can never truly die, while intending to kill 'sinners' all Yi is doing is severely mutiliating them. Patience is 'fine' when Adventurer arrives, Kindness mentions mistaking someone for adventurer and being chased into locked rooms in layer 3 - that was Yi too

wait where does the game say that the cutscenes are the past because y'know patience is still alive before the cutscene triggers

@@ChronoMoth remember that Inflicted people can never truly die, patience somehow managed to recover from getting mauled It's proven that cutscenes show the past if you get the new Unfaithful/unkindness badges, kindness in game says that someone chased him into a room, the cutscene shows that very moment

Parts about player are outdated btw!!! It's not the player who's killing people, turns out transcendence cutscenes actually show the past, one who's responsible for that is the Prisoner (or Inferior/YI) from layer 3 computer notes. They are aware of player's progress and they are the person who left clues on walls in layer 3

im pretty sure the reason player spares purity is because by killing him then he gets his wish and he gets to go home, (in the form of dead 🙏)

So do they keep sending people down despite the others not dying yet and that’s how we meet kindness who was from a group before us? (or whoever the name of the person got stuck in the maze)
