SCP 6008 is a Thaumiel Class anomaly also known as Noah's Ark.
SCP-6008 is the designation given to the digital database containing the genetic heritage of all known life that once resided upon the third planet in the Sol System. SCP6008 is contained within the Primary Containment Vessel Noah's Ark, which is currently in transit between the Sol system and TOI-178b ("Jonathan's Hope").

Also the GOC: destroys one of the only anomalies capable of saving the world to try get the SCP foundation to save the world. I don't know what I expected, but the act of destroying an anomaly before knowing enough about it to make an informed choice, only to make the situation worse; it just seems like such a GOC thing to do.

Nothing actually happens, but because the 05 council spread false information about it being so terrible, the procedure actually gains strength to keep the scarlet king away, just like the ritual with the deer God. Then again, even tho the GOC is know for acting too harshly i don't think they would screw so much as "hey, let's explode the reset button for mankind to force the 05 council hand!". I'm not sure, but by the number i think this is one of the newer SCPs, and they are not as good.

@Jay Vander The wiki explicitly states that all maintenance is done by the AIC. And where in the wiki does It state anything about there being no guarantee that it wouldn't make it or 3D print life. The AIC literally says that it has a way of generating nanobots for that specific purpose. It would take time, just like SCP-2000.

1. (Depending on which book you’re reading) It took noah 300+ years, 120 years, 40 days or 81 years to build the ark that in and of itself is an SCP 2. The animals came on the boat themselves noah didnt gather them Noah is mentioned in the Hebrew Bible in the genesis. First Book of Chronicles, the books of Tobit, Wisdom, Sirach, Isaiah, Ezekiel, 2 Esdras, 4 Maccabees

well the problem there is there are many stories, 001 The Factory says they were given immortality if they bring the factory anomalies, 001 Ouroboros Cycle says that its never a consistent group, 001 The Gate Guardian says that 05-1 is someone who got told to PREPARE instead of FORGET, 001 the black moon says 05-1 is in an endless loop if making himself the counterbalance, and there are so many more proposals for how the counsel came to be

I apologize for sounding rude with this comment, but, when you went to explain the gathering of the animals, the bible does indeed say "type of animal," which doesn't refer to all known species, but instead, known types, like rabbit, dog, cat, etc. That, in turn, allows the task to be far more feasible.

This makes me wonder... What if this were a cyclical event? What if humanity were doomed to never learn from its mistakes, and had just been going on again and again and again in a never-ending cycle of extinction-rebuild? How many times had this been done before?

You mispronounced the musical term DC al Fine incorrectly @5:30 onward. DC (De Capo) al fine [ al -fee-ney; Italian ahl -fee-ne ] is a musical term meaning repeat from the beginning until the end. Pretty cool play on words.

I completely understand this is an SCP but yes there is plenty of scientific evidence to suggest the worldwide flood as well as evidence for the boat. I have studied this for years on both side of the argument. and honestly while I would not like to truly admit it a worldwide flood would explain quite a bit about the world

I grew up going to church, it actually was two unclean animals(anything that isn’t cow lamb or bird) and 7 pairs of clean so Noah and his family could eat. Other than this small detail good story.

Strange coincidence btw. Almost every religion weather it be dead, or active; has a tale of a Great Flood. You can also find sea shells on some mountain ranges. So, the idea of the great flood is not so impossible.
