One thing nux needs to get his head around is that a safe designation does NOT equal not dangerous. The designations only state how "containable" an anomaly is. Because Dr. Bright is extremely cooperative and the medallion doesn't have any properties that compel others to touch it, it's a very easy scp to contain, hence safe. There are plenty of safe scp's that are quite dangerous in and of themselves, but they're easy to contain, so they're rated as safe. Just like there are plenty of Euclid spc's that are not dangerous at all, but are not very easy to keep contained for whatever reason.

Apparently the number of members on the 05 is kept a secret to avoid their identities being leaked. A different video I once saw said some say there are 13 members, while others say there are only 5. Some of them will have a male voice on the phone one day, female the next. This particular story reminds me of a few different things from other works of fiction. He can take over others’ bodies, which I think is what palpatine wanted to do in star wars. Also reminds me of the relic Johnny Silverhands is on in cyberpunk 2077. Him making duplicates of himself is similar to agent smith in the matrix.

There are actually a whole lot of anomalous staff working for the SCP Foundation. Really, whether or not they contain you or hire you depends on a number of things, like when and how they became anomalous, what their anomaly is, if they're actually willing to help, stuff like that. I also wouldn't call the Foundation cruel. Their mission statement, besides securing, containing, and protecting, is described as being "Cold, not cruel." They aren't torturing his sister, so they're not exactly being cruel. I imagine she'd be treated worse outside of Foundation custody. There's actually a whole section of the Foundation meant to ensure they never become pointlessly cruel. They're called the Ethics Committee, and with content in the last couple years, they're not a joke like they used to be and actually have some real power, even over the O5s themselves.

My opinion of the foundation has changed over the years the more I read, first it was a unified cold serious organization, then a lot of stories made me question if they were the bad guys, then there were plenty that made them seem morally correct, and now I'm in more there are good eggs and bad eggs and the organization is very human and not always the most unified in its approach.

2:59 no there are 3 main classes Safe Euclid keter Keter being the hardest to contain and also usually the most dangerous Safe being so easy to contain some are just allowed to roam around the site on their own Euclid being in between However there are quite a few other classes like thamual (probably misspelled that) and that class is a ton of SCPs that are used exclusively for help in containing other SCPs Another thing is that sometimes containment is literally just put the object in a locker

Just commented the same thing, and you were close - it's Thaumiel. It's another word (like Keter) from the Kabbalah. Keter is the crown, the tenth Sephirot which is directly opposed by the unholy/demonic Qlippoth Thaumiel. Qlippoth are "shells"/"peels" while the Sephirot are "emanations."

I have my own headcanon that the foundation was wrong about the ritual, it wasn't to bond someone's consciousness with the medalion, it was to remove it. The guy wasn't trying to achieve immortality, he was trying to escape it. And the ritual wasn't a failure, it went exactly as it was supposed to be.

Every anomaly isn’t always locked up. Yes most of them have to stay in containment but if the SCP is safe enough not to cause any problems then they are free to roam like the tickle monster, the eye pods, the reluctant dimension hopper, Josie the Half Cat, Carl the variable dog, and others. They have curfews to stay in containment but most of the time they are free to roam the facility.

Doctor Bright is sorta like a lich. The medallion is basically a phylactery. I'm sure you know the word, but I mean more in the D&D way. Essentially a trinket, container, or somesuch, that holds your soul. Your body stops being yours. It's just like, a car. You put on the medallion, you are now the body for the soul in the medallion. I'm oversimplifying, but you get it.

Fun fact bright has enough clout to get away with having another doctor shot and not getting punished at all I believe that was actually the lizard incident as well the doc called him by his SCP designation 1 to many times and he had a junior reacercher shoot him. BTW glad you found one of or probably the only decent animation channels for SCPs though they only have half the information most of the time you should check out the Volgun or exploring series if you want full stories or all the information on SCPs they are the 2 major SCP oriented channels though their stuff is pretty long

17:06 It's classified as "safe" because SCP classes are based on how difficult the SCP is to contain, not necessarily how dangerous it is. For example, if there was a keychain that caused a nuclear explosion whenever you licked it, but you could just lock it in a drawer and forget about it and nothing bad would happen, it would be classified as "safe". Or if there was a bouncy ball that would randomly teleport to different parts of the world and there was nothing you could do to stop it, it would be considered "keter" even if it was otherwise completely harmless. The pendant itself isn't difficult to contain, its physically just a pendant and could theoretically be locked away in a box with no issues so it's classified as safe.

Due to Bright's name, principal entries and appearance, all being created as a self insert of an author that happened to be a p==ophile. I tend to describe immortality as a curse disguised as a blessing. It will seem great until you outlive everyone and everything you care about and become increasingly bored as you run out of new things to experience. You will eventually want to die, but you can’t. When all other life ends, you will still be there, alone. When Earth is roasted by the Sun as it becomes a red giant, you will cook alive, and will not die. When the Sun burns out entirely, you will be cold, possibly frozen solid in the dark, unable to die, and forced to watch for many billions more years until the heat death of the universe, and when all else is gone, you will remain in total darkness. Cold, alone, probably insane, and unable to die.

I’m confused, when he died did the original die, is the pendant just holding his memories? Do they have a hive mind when he infects multiple people, or do they all have their own dr. Bright personalities? Edit: 12: 15pm

The original died while carrying the amulet to misc mass containment (back when they didn't know what it did) when Able broke containment and killed him. This activated the amulet. As far as I understand the amulet constantly downloads the memories of Dr. Bright and uploads those memories into any body that touches it, destroying the body's original personality and memories. Once downloaded each Bright can develop separately, however all of their memories are still uploaded to the amulet and any new Brights will posses those memories.
