Күн бұрын

SCP 2922 is a Euclid Class anomaly also known as Notes From the Under.
SCP-2922 is a method of communication from a human mind to a telephone. Once a human is implanted with SCP2922, they will be able to make phone calls to a pre-established phone number at any time. The method by which the phone receives these calls is not entirely understood, as it does not involve standard telecommunication signals.

This just seems super vindictive. She wants to help their research in exchange for talking to her husband. She goes over their heads to talk to him directly, they decide to send a task force to punish a dead woman because they didn't like that she wouldn't listen to them. This is the kid that wants to force you to play with them, then they get mad when you want to have fun while playing too, then they steal your bike because you upset them.

To be fair I think its mostly this writer trying to ruin this afterlife instead of letting it exist as an alternative. The SCP foundation is primarily built in a world where serial killers are good guys and villains are worse. It's the only thing that explains the utterly sadistic way they twist every anomaly into a bad thing. At least with this anomaly it's not inherently bad, it's just the foundation deciding to muck things up by aiming to punish a woman that's already resting.

Well, now that they know they aren’t going to hell for their wrongdoings in life, they think they’re invincible & so they get their kicks from being overly controlling where it isn’t necessary. Basically, they get to be as cruel as they want & know that they won’t face extra punishment in the afterlife for such choices. Evil fricks, but what can you do? 🤷‍♀️🫤

@@AspieGirlArianaHale Except Corbenic is ruled by the Three Moons Initiative, a triumvirate of dead timelines and their Foundations who also learned there was no heaven or hell... so they _made_ a heaven and hell by bringing order to the land as a new government. And the Foundation is acutely aware of this, as the Initiative can send robots back to the mortal plane to extend their rule. Not to mention, they're led by the godlike entity Janet finds in 2922, and he has the power to obliterate entire worlds as punishment for particularly grave sins... something he's already done once to an alternate Foundation.

@Random Platypus with Internet given how big universal eternal hell is in the list of problems even an xk-class scenario is preferable if it guarantees no eternal hell (something similar is seen in scp-5000). I think the problem is that the foundation dehumanizes every single member of it to the extreme, to such a degree that they can't see or accept some accommodation for her. That maybe she's angry that they expect her to be an unwilling member even in death and that her husband is the only thing that kept her sane

Seems far easier to just invite the husband into the foundation and tell him the situation. I’m sure he’d be happy to: - live in the foundation, able to talk to his dead wife - talk to his dead wife and leave, only after being mind wiped - talk to his dead wife then leave the foundation under threat of being executed - be executed, you’ll be reunited with your dead wife anyway. The foundation would logically not give a single shit if the husband, after talking to his dead wife, went to try and tell everyone. Let’s be honest, no one would listen let alone believe.

It actually reminds me of something out of the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett... that sort of thing tended to happen. Where the dead, after meeting Death (or sometimes just on their own, he didnt show up in person for every single one), would sort of fade and be sent wherever they thought they would go regardless of whether it was good or bad (though Death could override that and choose a destination for them if he felt the need but very rarely did that, and there were occasions where an effect separate from him would do it). Honestly I always thought that the idea was really cool, and of course in classic Discworld fashion it tended to come with some hilarity, because of course it did.

The Foundation treats various non-human SCPs with care and respects their requests, however questionable it may be, but when it comes to human anomalies they become vindictive and dont even treat them like humans.

this is a good SCP and the tales attached to it is so interessing to read. also showing SCP foundation can be the bad guys too. but orwise it is abit of a grey zone.

I did not expect the foundation to just send people after the dead. Is this foreshadowing for a new MTF unit? What's a good name for MTFs that specializes in navigating/working in the afterlife? Regardless, this ain't no fairy tale. There is no happy ending with the Foundation. Especially you Dr. Bright.

Fun fact in the original file on the scp wiki dr. Janet spiegel was naked in the afterlife and so was everyone else in the afterlife. But I can understand why they didn't put that part on KZfaq

This story had a cool what happens after death concept, which it ditched for a "look people in absolute power are evil" storyline again. It feels like 1/4 of scp stories can be summerized with, they found something starnge & the 05 councel made things worse, people suffered & some got to die.

"Believing in reincarnation" is such a strange thing to say. Ok there's a lot of arguments on the 'soul' but noticing our bodies get broken down and changed into something else isn't religious, it's just observational.

How can they possibly apprehend her when she’s already dead? She can use telepathy to call phones (though she did only call one other phone) and their bodies regenerate as well so how can you stop her from thinking? And who’s to say they can find her since there are multiple afterlives.
