Scrabble - What the Heck was She Thinking?

Anyone have an idea what word the contestant thought was the answer to the second puzzle? According to Chuck it fits the squares, although at times he displays spelling capabilities that rival the worst Lingo players. :)
To fill out the ten minutes, Chuck completely Wollerizes an announcement about "Car-razzzzy February", a promotion involving all the NBC gameshow hosts (back in the day when there was such a thing... "Classic Concentration", "Scrabble", "Win Lose or Draw", "Super Password" and "Wheel of Fortune").

WNBC did air Scrabble in reruns in the afternoons, at either 3 or 3:30PM EST, from 3/26-8/31/1990, alongside Classic Concentration first-runs IIRC. Ryan WHite died on April 8, 1990, and the People issue was dated 4/23/1990, so this rerun would have aired on WNBC sometime in mid-to-late April 1990, probably April 16-20 or April 23-27, 1990

Sometimes two of the same letter will show up, and not all contestants realize that the letters go into place in order.

Daniel Lewis Unfortunately, Scrabble's ratings weren't high enough to keep it in the 11:30AM Eastern timeslot once Win, Lose, or Draw came along.

THe earliest the episode could have been from is 1/7/1987, as the bonus hasdn't been won for seven days at that point and the format started on 12/29/1986

I saw the I and I thought it was kids sometimes hear their parents "fucking". It fit from the beginning. Then the guy chose the tiles 6 and 9 for his girlfriend. Hahahaha. 69....

@fatmanfiftythousand - yep it's early 1987 alright. Most likely February or March 1987, b/c This show, Super Password, Sale of the Century, Daytime Wheel of Fortune, Wordplay, and the 1987 edition of Blockbusters (all NBC Daytime GS's) were all promoting the NBC "Carrrr-azzzzy" Sweepstakes during this time. I remember watching Blockbusters w/ Bill Rafferty and Super Password on GSN and they were talking about the "Carrrr-azzzy Sweepstakes" for part of the show on both shows.

This is from January 1987 most likely, I think the Sweepstakes hadn't started yet, it ran 2/2-2/27/1987 on the six NBC game shows of the time.

WNBC aired reruns of Scrabble in SPring and SUmmer 1990, after NBC ditched the show on 3/23/90. This episode originally aired in February 1987 as that's when NBC did the Car-Azy February promo for the NBC game shows lineup of $ale, Blockbusters(Rafferty),Wheel, Scrabble, SUper Password, and Wordplay.
