Welcome to another episode of Scrap Mechanic! Today I am taking a look at some of the major features of the new 0.6.0 Challenge Mode Update! One of the biggest game-changers with this update is the introduction of custom modded games! This allows for modders to make entirely new gameplay elements in Scrap Mechanic that are easily integrated into the workshop. There is a custom Scrap Mechanic Golf game included as an example. There are custom keybinds you have to set in the control settings first. That's why it showed "not set" show score, because the keybindings don't have a default

actually there IS a keybind by default, its the reload keybind, but its only used for the paint tool animation, so ScrapMan probably removed it.

I think that they should make survival lifts more like creative lifts. You should be able to make saved creations but only if you have the required parts and it takes them out of your inventory. Also, if you delete creations it gives you them back

this has a flaw with large creations. maybe a bot from the mechanic station with chest input/output

In my opinion it should be something like the survival tutorial block they added where you can see by steps what you need to do to build this creation

@@beaclaster if you mean like the stuff in the chest they could make it so you need certain materials to spawn it in eg a car you would need 4 bearings and 100 metal to spawn it and it would be used in the creation

Here's an idea for multiplayer Monday. With the new strict follow cam update you should do a plane challenge. Maybe a 2 V 2 with gunners and Pilots. 😁👍

You should do this with kAN and Moonbo for Multiplayer Monday and then have a better version of the previous golf tournament you did. Last time the ball was really large and difficult to hit. Make your own rules quite frankly I don't care what y'all do for the rules. I would just enjoy seeing that happen. I'm sure other viewers would as well.

Its called _game changing_ because it changes the way you play in a major way (custom modes in this case). Adding a decorative block to Minecraft doesn't impact the game as much as adding new tool and armor set progression (like netherite) or new mechanics.

If you bind a button to reload in your controls, you can press that button and the game will show your score.

scrapman puts so much effort in his videos that he always verifies if the things he says are correct, and if not he corrects it in the editing of the video, one of the many reasons scrapman is such a great content creator.

Firstly I don't think this update slowed chapter 2 down at all, secondly modding keeps games alive and this update also gave us a tiny bit of new stuff with the survival thing( haven't checked it out yet) and more challenge mode levels. Which in my opinion is better than just a lot more nothing for 2 more months till the chapter 2 drops

The survival lift should be able to save creations but it only saves the blueprint and you have an option to insta build the creation

Multi-player Monday idea build vehicles that can do hill climbs but after each run the you have to add a heavier cargo and the heaviest being the metal sphere every first place gets 3 point second place 2 points and third place 1 point

i had to replay the first 40 challanges to play the new ones and i have played 6 out of the 10 new ones... the new ones are so hard those 6 have taken me about the same time already as the first 40 the 6th level took me the most time by far yet i am afraid of the next 4 levels.

I'm glad that Scrap Mechanic is getting new content. Could this now be one of (or the penultimate?) longest "Early Access" title? LOL Unlike most, it hasn't been abandoned. Awesome! But... I'm kind of, sorta, maaaaaybe *BY FAR* most interested in Survival Mode, its story telling, and it providing a challenge and a direction. Maybe it's just me, but that mode seems to be getting the least attention from the devs, which has been disappointing, to me. Am I wrong? Has Survival Mode significantly improved lately? Has it even been touched by this update? (Last time I checked in on Survival Mode it just seemed ... very unfinished and lackluster. Much sadface.)

they are doing a big update that will change the entire thing. sticky wheels, laser drills, more automation, more bosses, etc. they are taking their time and doing it well while not forgetting to add new content elsewhere
