With fuel prices on the rise and scrap prices staying at a steady low rate. It's getting harder to make money... $220 a ton for shred is low? Come here to north Idaho / Spokane. $60 a ton.

Earned my sub. You get a good price. Detroit area here and only getting $150/ton on shred. Still haven't budged on copper and I'm getting frustrated. 2.95 for bare bright and 2.75 for #2. I'm holding onto it if they don't go up at least a little

Yeah, that's ridiculous around here. Number one prices are $3.85 a pound. And $3.75 And the copper price is climbing every day. I suggest get a scale to wake up what you have.. And call a bunch of different scrapyards. Tell them what you have and the weights. And ask what they'll do on the price.. Shop around, don't take a low ball price

The whole year its been about the same. Its been 170 a ton to 200 a ton which it is now for me.

love this channel 😎 you said haven't been sleeping well try taking 5 grams of glycine powder and 1mg of melatonin. and taking collagen powder also helps with muscle soreness joints and sleep. thats what I take it helps me sleep deeply and recover well.

I mainly deal in scrap cars and equipment, I never wanted to do small stuff until lately , been hauling a lot of shred , I’m in the Poconos !

Even though you worked hard to get that scrap to haul in for a little payday. I am having to hold mine, we are down on shred, tin and short iron. All of it is below $160 a ton. I'm going to watch and see if it goes back up to at least $200 a ton. Take care and see you on the next video.

I sell my shred regardless even it it down 40 bucks a ton. I had deal with that in Obana adminstaration. When price, many scrap yards closed up and fail doing this period. But I grind though it. Trick is Sell some non ferrous alonf with that load

@Funkybulb Yeah, I process and sell about a million pounds of tin/Shred A year, it's not worth holding on to.. So I separate, and clean what I can to maximize my profit on the non. Non ferrous side..

In raleigh county wv it's 7 per hundred or 140 per ton for shred currently and the highest I have seen it was 13 per hundred or 260 per ton about 7 years ago the lowest I have seen was 1.25 per hundred or 25 per ton

It's all in who you know.. It didn't start out this way for me, but over the years It has gotten more and more and I got a lot of people who smartIt has gotten more and more. And I got a lot of people who Have used me in the past, and i'm their first call for scrap metal

@@ssweeps The trailers are cheap. $26 a year. The trucks are what get expensive. Both the trucks combined are over $450 a year to register

No, Only the ones with the round bolt on play on the top.. So if it has the plate and the pipes come straight out the top like in the video, it has a copper coil.

I have a ford transit van 250 2015 it does not have a trailer hitch I’m thinking of getting one install although I’m not sure how to calculate the total pound haulage I can do not sure how it work how to ad it up Mike can you help me out

I would need to know what engine is in the vehicle. And it's rear end gear ratio.. You can look it up and it'll tell you what it's max towing capacity is.. Every vehicle is different. If you can get me that information I will look it up
