Hello Ben. When you did the Copper to the moon video on stockpileing, I still took it in as times were rough for me at the time. Well, it still is but I make do anyway. I have just started putting some away for later and 10 liter bucket adds up quick. I took in copper wire today from yesterdays pickup, cut the plugs and connectors and it was close to 100kg. 👍

I gasped so loud seeing your vid posted ppl around me thought something spectacular had happened...so I said yeah! its a scrap yard vid! LOL!

Good video mate and yeah prices are extraordinary atm and even i myself being a backyard scrapper with the wife have done 4 scrap sell offs over 3 days this week resulting in over $8500 in sales.....Prices where i go change every Tuesday. Bright shiny copper was $11.35kg and Hair wire $11.30, No1 copper $10.80kg, clean brass $6.80kg, A/C compressors $1.06kg, Electric motors $1.11, Circuit boards $0.64, Pvc coated cable $3.95kg ( data cable included ), a new 1 i learned i can sell the the aluminum cased capacitors $0.60kg, iv been throwing them away for ages lol. Anyway keep up the great work mate.

Highest prices I have ever seen too! 12-18 months ago clean pressing was $0.04/kg; insize $0.17/kg; extruded aluminium $1.30/kg; copper #1 $5.00.

Aluminum is paying 15 cents a pound in the US. I have never seen it that low. I have some old storm window frames to strip down but not at that price. I hanging on to my cans even, not worth driving them in at that price.

$1358 for all that. Me ? $ 1322.70 on container deposit for December, January, and February. But it thoroughly beats what I do, given stockpiling, circuit boards, and stuff held back, yet more wire, other stuff still building up, and so on.

Awesome prices for scrap everything, just a note for those in the bush, maharis in horsham are not like manharis in Melbourne, no scales, refused to pay full weights, 30 plus percent less than Melbourne prices, will no longer deal with them, l found a little buyer in Apsley (rural mid west vic) that leaves manharis for dead price wise, 20% plus better prices, it pays to shop around

Doing the conversions from AUD to USD alot of those prices you're getting are 100-150 percent more than my yards! Good stuff.

Had a Nissan NV200 for a few years and I loved it as it actually had legroom. The Ford Transit wouldn’t fit my 6’4” frame.

I know all makes of van have issues, but Renaults and iffy electrical systems seem to be great pals! Our US cousins slate Lucas electrics fitted to UK cars - "the Lucas vacuum cleaner is the only Lucas product that doesn`t suck" and so on, but I`m sure they haven`t had the experience of SEV Marchal or Paris Rhone!

I would not change the van, a new one is nice but there just afraid of scratching. These old Mercedes diesel engines just run, as long as they do not leak or the camshafts run in, they work. Since I would have more fear of defective gearboxes

Stay clear of the traffics ben ... my ex father inlaw has the 2019 model and already had 2 gearbox's and 3 top hat units and the mechanic said that's common for the traffics and u gotta order parts from France and its hell expensive

I cashed in yesterday and scored $400 and today I have light steel about 200kg so it will be interesting to see how much that is. I was getting 10:65 kg for copper and yes close to silver prices but that will sky rocket soon. All of my scrap is cashed in and I buy silver bullion, I think it will start to go up. Also got rid of 600kg of lead and another 300 to go so @ $1:90kg I should do OK, Be safe Brad

Everything cant all go up at the same time. If everything is going up at the same time what is actually happening is your dollar is going down. So maybe instead of thinking "I cant believe how great these prices are" you should be thinking "I cant believe how hard my currency is getting clobbered!".

I think in the uk scrappers are not holding back or grading scrap, i.e. just filling vans and taking all as is, they dont seem to realise it keeps prices of scrap here lower anyone with sense now should see trading demographics changing commodity's should be used at home land to make a more diverse greener place.... just how I see things from my life in a flat 24/7 I am trying to work on making things i need from things i find we are a D.O.A race if we don't try, can you feel it, we are on the brink of something even harder to cope with yet we banter on like we are blind of our fate if we dont change this year

If like in UK. Renault traffic and vauxhall vivaro used to be same van with just badges changed, nissan also had same van. There cheaper to buy in UK and more reliable then better brands like VW and ford.

sadly I only have 1 scrap yard within 50 miles of me , according to your prices I,m really getting ripped off here in Ky.

If you end up getting more pipe like that and its in good shape and not bent up you might be able to get some more money for it at a steel yard and it will require less energy to recycle it if they end up using it to build something
