bignadad is not even involved in this conversation. that was 1964corvan who commented on your comment. and to be fair to 1964corvan we scrapped combines that were as old as a jd 95 which was produced back in the 50's making it over 50 years old.

I’ve just finished restoring a MASEY 510 combine It’s taking 15 years to do and i hate seeing this Instead of ripping them apart they could make more money dismantling them. My MASSEY 510 looks like a new combine now and she has still got perking engine.

You could probably have a lot of fun with two dozers and some chain. The poor old doggy doo daewoo seemed to struggle with it all.

You buy the land to store them, buy the beautiful pieces of history, and you can watch your money rust away at your leisure.

I noticed that the IH 1460 or whatever that was still had final drives and rear axle on it. Those are among the first components to disappear in these parts!

I always thought farmers just parked their junk out in the field and just left it all there. Drives me nuts when they don't recycle it.

I only have two thing to say. A. clean (meaning no fluids, EPA banned oil or stuff leaking or messing up the ground). but B. bad or unksilled operator. most machine is built inside to outside. easier to work outside going inward than attack inside first. wasted diesel fuel just to beat on the machine to separate a section.

rynait lol screw the epa ruins every thing like def on diesel trucks cats on gas motors so to me there the enemy

I hate to see that 1980's John Deere combine tore to pieces. It had tons of good parts left on it.
@outlawracer222914 жыл бұрын
Which green ones? John Deere, Oliver, Gleener, Massey....? Which red ones? International, Gleener, Massey, Case....? How about silver, orange, yellow and gray? After all combines came in all different colors.

Seems like everyone has a better way to deal with what to do with too many junk machines. I agree with the salvage yard owner..... SCRAP THEM SUCKERS! If you wanted them saved you should have gone there and bought them!

1. hundreds of thousands of dollars new. 10 years later pennies on the dollar for scrap. But our economy I based on disposability. 2. everything is scrap to a scrap dealer, even his own equipment.
@turbanwearersblow4 жыл бұрын
If you wanted that old useless crap, you shoulda been there a week earlier and saved it. Otherwise, looks like a salvage yards old stock nobody’s buying parts off anymore. Time to scrap em
