You can also clean your stamps by using a toothbrush. It removes fine fibres that can get stuck on the stamps 💕

I heard from someone else that when stamping to leave the stamp on the paper for about 5 to 6 seconds to help the ink sink in. I tried it and it helped.

You can use rubbing alcohol to take the old layers of ink off the stamp instead of using sandpaper. No abrasion, so the stamp lasts longer.

Alcohol will dry out rubber stamps. Try glycerin....

Alcohol is awful on stamps dries out the rubber, use a good stamp cleaner, you can make your own. 8 oz. distilled water Squirt of baby shampoo 2 T. Glycerin Mix and put in s spray bottle.

It's fun to dip the ragged edges of paper into dyes. The torn paper absorbs more dye than the rest of the sheet, making some lovely dark edge effects. I use walnut shell dye to make rich dark brown-black edges.

Pam, your personality just shines through....you put a smile on my face! These are great ideas. I do not have many rubber stamps, but i have a ton of acrylic ones. I use baby wipes to clean them and they have stayed in very well condition. :)

Hello Pam! Love having a day when I drag all my stamps and have a stamp fest, I love how you think outside the box and feet look like grass. Thanks for the video, hope you have a good week. My computer crashed so its turned into a rehab of my craft space. Got a repurposed large high top table its 36 x 60 I am so excited, my son is building me a new desk top computer and getting my camera set. Happy days to come, take care!

Pam, I love watching your channel! You are responsible for hooking me into making junk journals. I'm just a newbie and in the collecting stuff stage but love your attitude and craziness, and hearing the birds, and visiting with cute Sonny. Tonight I purchased a ream of 28lb paper to coffee dye and a sketch pad plus other stuff. I'm a quilter and seamstress, knitter, enjoy crocheting, and just about any other craft, and now can add junk journaling to my list. We are neighbors, I live in Alabama and I think you said you are located in Florida. Anyway, happy journaling!

Loved watching you stamping on your left over scraps and making yummy goodies to use in the future. I really loved the bird feet stamp that you used to create the hedgerow border. A coule of weeks ago I stamped with script stamp on the strips of paper that I’d torn off the edges os some Edith Holden book pages, and I used them to make paper rufffles. It was quick, easy and fun to do and the ruffles look fine as they are or be added to, to make more decorative embellishments.

Love the simplicity of this! It will be nice to rediscover my stamps. I use eyeglass cleaner on my stamps and dab with a paper towel. It comes in a spray bottle from the dollar store!

You are so entertaining lol. Tim H would cringe if he saw you spraying water into one of his Distress ink pads!! Distress inks are water reactive so you are changing the concentration and composition of the ink. He makes a “refresher” which is resin based to rehydrate/refresh the Distress ink pads. You can also add re-inker solution to your pad. Glycerin works well to condition rubber stamps. Just some tips I’ve picked up along the way. Carry on 😁👍🏻❤️🦋💜

Good morning Pam. Another fun video. Make your own decorations? Cool. A long time ago someone said try blowing your hot breath on your stamp. after you put your ink on it,.then stamp your paper 📜. It seems to help.. good going girl, cute paper pieces.

Be careful using alcohol on rubber stamps (except very occasionally-maybe), especially older stamps because it can dry out rubber making it brittle and unable to suspend the inks for stamping. If soap and water doesn’t work, buy solvent specifically created for cleaning rubber stamps. The sanding block is a good idea. I also reach for baby wipes, just a preference for fast clean-ups.. I buy wipes by the case. Not harsh on hands, mild, but great for simple cleaning in the studio. Works well on glue/mod podge too.
