Well done! I've always wanted a cart like this, but I don't have the floorspace in my current shop. I actually just finished a large horizontal storage wall with slabs stickered and stacked from the floor to about waist height, then three 12 foot long Rubbermaid FastTrack wire shelves going up to the top of my only 8 foot ceiling. It's not ideal, but it's the most ideal for the limited space in my 2 car garage shop. Probably moving again in less than 2 years, so I'll definitely be back for these plans once I get a new (hopefully bigger) shop!

I bought your scrap wood cart plans, and built the 4' version for my small shop. It's a great build, and your plans are very clear, and I'm really appreciating the cart (although, it turns out I have way more scrap wood than I thought - thank gawd I won't have to buy lumber for a while, given the current prices). Thanks for such a great set of plans and video, that result in a great shop cart. I really appreciate it!

May I suggest using styrofoam strips under the vertically stored lumber to prevent wicking of moisture whether it comes from the concrete or other boards? I use small bits and pieces to keep mine up off the concrete because I have a lot of moisture in my garage. The lumber is staying dry even though I've had some minor flooding.

Chris, just want you to know I used your plans and built my kids a farm table out of walnut. Changed the dimensions a little, longer and wider top (1.5 " x 42" x 96")and changed the base to accommodate the larger top, but it turned out great. The kids love it. I am now making a bench to match and go with it. Thanks so much for the plans and the video. By chance did you make a matching bench? I would love to see your design and plans if available. i would think that the ends of the wood will pick up a lot of moisture on the end that touches the concrete. That is what happens to mine. You may want to consider adding a wooden deck to have an air zone between the wood and the floor.
