Hi Erin, I’m rewatching some of your videos and this one made me so envious of your weather! We are having one of our usual March heatwaves here in South Australia and I am just longing for winter. I dont do well in 40 degrees, we have evaporative air con and the house gets so humid so no scrapbooking is happening at the moment. So I’m just enjoying watching some of your videos and getting inspiration for when the cooler weather comes. You are my favourite KZfaqr and I really appreciate the way you talk us through your thought process as you scrap. Give that boy of yours a hug from me, he’s obviously been well brought up and has a kind heart. Tfs 👍🥰

I love how you walk us through how you pick your paper and all through the layout process. Thanks for the inspiration. I sliced my finger to the bone trying to cut something off one of my embellishments that I didnt want. It went down underneath my fingernail and it had to be removed before they could stitch it up. Bless your sweet family.

What a delightful layout with happy memories from a 'snow' very winter storm!!! Paper pack colors and patterns match the photos like they were made for them. Love how your son and his friends helped folks stuck in the snow. The 'Rescue Ranger' is one cool truck. You always do a nice job. I've been sewing for 65+ years--worst accident was 'sewing my finger' with my sewing machine while guiding the fabric!

Another perfect layout!! My scrap room has cabinets set to a very comfortable standing height for me to work. Directly under my work surface is an open space that I store a few plastic bins with excess stickers, etc. Last Christmas vacation I was literally crafting hard, I stupidly bent down and reached under towards the back of the space to get something and then promptly got up... Yeah, concussion from hitting the underside of my counter top.

Well, I injured myself only once. And that was for Halloween :-) I was cutting some paper and then, suddenly, my brain decided to make a switch-off. At that second I cut my eye pupil with scissors. I had to wear an eye-patch for a few days but at the end everything was ok. :-) This layout is very beautiful. Thank you for the inspiration :-)

I use an Exacto knife and metal ruler to cut my papers instead of a paper trimmer. While at a crop, I was talking and not paying attention. Cut the end of my thumb badly. So glad my CTMH consultant was sitting next to me with a supply of bandaids.

I love these pages and watching your thought process as you decide where to put each item on the page. I used to just stick all my paper and photos down then always want to move something. I now try to set them all out on the page like you do before adhering it all down. It makes life easier and I like my pages more when I feel like they are in balance. On to the subject of craft room injuries, I have lost count of the times I stick my paper piercer into the tip of my finger when using it to remove the stuck bits in my dies/die cuts. Thanks for sharing your pages and great tips for creating and hello from New Zealand.

Love, love, love your layouts!!!! Love your thought process and how you determine how the layout works for you and your photos. Crafting accident--I was cutting with an X-acto knife and ruler and I had my finger off the ruler and almost cut the side of my index finger off. It required 3 stitches and I could not scrap for about 10 days! I also cut my finger on the trimmer one time too and I bled all over the place so I can relate!

Another terrific page Erin. I always enjoy the little stories around your family. A few years ago we were scrapping in a community hall when a friend forgot her craft trolley was next to where she was sitting. She tripped over it and went down hard, tearing her rotor cuff in her shoulder. It was not quite how we thought our day would go and poor Lee had to have surgery. So look out for those trolley cases!

Such a terrific layout! I love how you put those snowflakes up in the corner to fill in some of the white space and then used just a touch of the same on the other page. I'll have to remember that! As far as craft room injuries, I can't recall any off the top of my head but I did prevent what could have been a bad one. A few years ago my oldest granddaughter who was around 7 at the time got down in my craft room when I wasn't looking. When I caught up with her she was by my big Fiskars guillotine paper trimmer with the arm up asking "What's this for?". I got her away from it quickly before she could get hurt and then put it away, up very high, before they came to visit after that. Earlier this year gave it away to a friend. 😬🤦‍♀

I love this layout. I think that the pic looks better even with the one on the next page. Good job! As far as injuries go, my newest one occurred last Monday. I was putting scrapbooks away, & one fell from a higher shelf. The edge of the heavy book sliced across my arm! It might not have been so bad except that I am at that age where your skin has gotten thinner. Talk about bleeding! It is 4 days later, & it is still bleeding through my bandaid. Yikes!

Hello Catherine, that is a great question. The Avery paper I use looks frosted because it is a matte finish. This helps it to disappear into the layout. Some have a shiny look and are more noticeable on the page. This is the exact product I use as well as several of my crafty friends. www.amazon.com/dp/B00006HUP7/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_1G2B5PAXBCE24NK3VRKJ?linkCode=ml2&tag=craftyconcept-20

How do you remove the adhesive from the stamps? I see the benefit in doing so to play around with where it can go.
@CraftyConceptswithErin
@CraftyConceptswithErin 7 ай бұрын
Hello, do you mean adhesive on the stickers? I tap them with an anti static powder pouch. The powder will make them less sticky and you can temporarily move them around. You will then need to add glue when permanently adhering them. You can also stick them to your arm repeatedly until they pick up the oils from your skin.
