Let me help you with your scrapbook ideas travel plan. The best thing about vacation is making the memories! The second best thing is reliving those moments through your travel scrapbook.
I have some fabulous tips that will simplify your process and help you get the important moments documented. Let’s keep it easy, fun, and all in one place until you have time to put it in your favorite scrapbook album, like the custom album I made through Creative Memories. It was so easy to do and definitely made my album a one of a kind treasure.
I am sharing a few ideas, paging through an album, & then giving you some pointers on how to gather your memories and photos.

To find the CUSTOM ALBUMS: Look under: Menu; then choose Create Digital Photo Albums, then choose Custom Photo Albums

Oh my gosh! I clicked because of the little thought bubble, "There are no rules in scrapbooking." Working on my Europe trip from... 1989! So far I separated the fodder into country piles and have done two pages for London. Go me! Years ago I made a photo album that I'm stealing from. It's so helpful that I'd done that work already. I've already used Google image search to figure out some buildings. 😁 I love your albums and tips

This is my first time viewing your videos. This August I am taking a solo trip to London, including seeing Highclere Castle (Downton Abbey), so I will have to be creative in getting photos of myself in the album I purchased the CM United Kingdom album along with the papers and embellishments that go with it. Will you make a video on how you made your pockets? I love to save souvenirs.

Oh my gosh I love this! It looks like a wonderful trip. We just took a road trip and I brought home so much stuff! (Like you said way more than we’ll use). I was going to do more of a junk journal approach but I think I will just continue on in my CM travel scrapbook like you have here. I’m not a great journaler for the writing portion but you’re right we need to add that. You have great writing! I like the pocket in the back for the “extras”. I do try to make notes about the locations. I too can overwhelm myself with photos.

First time viewer. Super great video and beautiful album. I love the custom covers. I am happy to see you incorporated your personal handwriting and memorabilia. No over done pages (busy paper and too many photos). Thank you for the inspiration!

Ruth! What a great video! I was literally taking notes until if finally dawned on me that I can watch this again. (duh) What is your favorite, go-to adhesive? Thanks all the inspiration!

Thanks Holly! I appreciate your kind words. 💗I have a few favorites. Creative Memories has an awesome Permanent Tape Runner and a Repositionable Tape Runner that I love & use all the time. I also love Art Glitter Glue with a fine tip (has nothing to do with glitter). It is definitely my favorite liquid glue by far. I also like a rather large but handy tool, an ATG Adhesive Gun. It's spendy on the front end, but super economical long term...the refills are less than $2 and it's great for many craft projects and also safe in your scrapbook if you are trying to stay as archival as possible. Hope that helps!

@@ruthtacoma I am planning on just doing a vacation album for all of our family vacations and just doing our favorite moments from each of our trips. We've gone to Jackson, WY, Moab, Ut, Nauvoo, IL, Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park. So lots of places and I might end up doing what you have done and just do separate albums but I haven't gotten to it yet. I'm currently trying to work on my children's first year albums. ☺️

Love this Ruth. I didn't realise you could combine pocket pages with a traditional creative memories album. Do you have any further information on how to do this?

Yes, they have made it so easy. CM has it's own pocket pages as well as drop in pocket sleeve pages (for full 12x12 pages) that fit right into their normal bindings.
