Surprising Friends with WACKY BARGES and Trying to Race With Them!

Welcome to another episode of Scrap Mechanic Multiplayer Monday! Today we are doing a wacky barge race! Using the "barge" concept pretty loosely, for this race it just means any object being towed behind a boat. Each of us must build a crazy barge that isn't so simple to tow behind a boat. Then we do 3 laps of racing with our boats, but each lap we have to use a different barge. Who can bring all 3 wacky barges through the course first?

The best barge to mess with people would have been one to periodically fire like 8 thrusters in reverse and then a tower of like 6 on free bearings. Don't think you'd ever move forward lol

@@dovakhiin7301 you say problem, I say fun to watch lol .... yes, it would be awful but if you could figure out a pattern for something similar that would let you move forward but wouldn't be an obvious pattern, you could certainly troll the others. Lol

@@vrinee set up logic so that when you reverse your boat, the barge overpowers your boats thrusters to push you forward. Lol .... that would be a good way to troll them, see how long it takes for them to catch on.

I wonder how well this would go with the raft mechanic mod? Bring in the floating platforms and propellors and only get so many of each. You could probably even shoot each-other's platforms.

okay hear me out here....you make like a snow trolley (like the things on ski lifts). now here's the kicker... you put boosts on the sides of the trollies to rotate your trolley along the line to get through obstacles on your way. Obviously there will have to be stations to stop at and complete to unlock the track which could be basically anything, but yeah that's my idea hopefully it inspires someone somewhere.

Actually, the type of joint that you used is a ball joint, a universal joint can hinge in any direction but can't rotate.

Guys, how about a race where you are propelled by explosives? I mean, to heave lanes with explosives lined up and build a vehicle that would get propelled by the explosives it hits(without a spud-gun or hammer). It could be water or land. Seems like a fun idea.

The main issue with your craft's speed isn't the barge. It's the thruster placement. If you put them in line with the craft it would have gone faster lol.

Suggestion: You build a vehicle and some sort of trailer but you have to use everyone's vehicles and you use your trailer for all 3 laps.

Gives me some interesting ideas with that! what if... They had a sort of barge where they have a gunner turret setup, and they have to aim for Some targets while navigating a course? It would be something of a 2 man challenge.

Crazy Train Race: Build a locomotive and a train car. Attach your own and the others' cars to you locomotive in whatever order you want. And then do a race over land (no rails). Additionally, you could do it lootbox style to make it more crazy.

Light boats? + shaped bar with 3 potato guns aimed down into the water and a bomb spawner on the back, everyone has to set their thruster(s) to the same speed but can otherwise build the boat however they want.

wacky controls race: before the race adjust each others vehicle controls, want to go forward? press I. want to turn left? press left arrow. want to turn right? press enter. want to reverse? press left control. so on and so forth.

i have an idea for a multiplayer monday challenge: you guys did wacky trailers and now you did wacky barges but my idea is wacky cargo. here is the rules: each one will build a train and a wacky crago to pull around the track and every lap you will switch the cargo. you can do things like a passeger car that hops becauce the passegers are jumping or a cargo car that goes left and right. that's my idea.

how about a race where you connect all of the barges/trailers at once instead of swapping them out during the race(connecting them all up directly to the main vehicle is allowed, but it should still be possible to connect them to each other in a line).

What about a race where you have to catapult the opponents one at a time, The one that fly through the finish lines win. So you need to be careful by how much you launch the person maybe a lot at the start but then not much when you get too close so its your turn to be thrown.
