Every vacuum I have ever scrapped has been done with an old metal baseball bat! Gets to the good stuff faster

Yeah, vacuums can be a real pain in the butt. The "shark" brand was the worst with the hex scews with the pin in the middle. We did get quite a few small copper motors out of them. We are still debating if the time to take it apart is really worth the effort for what little scrap ya get.
