New Way To Use Embossing Folders For A Faux-Fabric Technique

In this video I'll share a unique card making technique that creates one of a kind cards that look like delicate tapestries! I thought about calling it the napkin or tablecloth technique, but regardless, the finished cards look like delicate hand-made fabric. To create this technique, begin by adding ink to an embossing folder with a brayer, blending brushes, stamps, or directly with the ink pad. Carefully insert your paper, run it through your embossing machine, and prepare to be amazed when you remove it from the embossing folder. Watch along and then try this technique yourself!

Thank you so much for touching on this subject. I’m from WI and I too have thyroid disease which I take medication for 😢. I have hypothyroidism and a multinodular goiter. I will be purchasing the first book you shared! My ultimate goal is to get off the medication but I am going to do some more research on this. Thank you!!

Hello Anna, As a grandma now I love to play with my grandkids doing arts and crafts and your ideas have helped a lot. Thanks for sharing about Thyroid and the use of Iodine. I quit taking thyroid medication three years ago and so far I do not need to take it anymore. God willing, I hope to never go back to it, as it was really not working for me and like you I started doing research about it and I started eating more fish, leafy green veggies, strawberries, cranberries and other fruits and veggies with iodine. I take iodine supplement once in a while and I feel great. Its really the pharmaceutical companies that are to blame (along with the doctors) as they promote the drugs and its just big money for them so of course they will not promote a healthier alternative to taking medications. First off, the cards are gorgeous and I must try this soon! Next, I have been on medication for hypothyroidism for years. Your iodine info is fascinating and I plan to have a chat with my doctor when I see her soon. She is usually open to a lot and she seems to know a lot of holistic treatments. Thanks for everything!

Thank you for all of the samples and examples using your embossing folders, and thank you to your sweet daughter too! The cards turned out lovely. Her card was very colorful. She did such a great job! Appreciate you sharing the health information! I agree with you about why we aren’t told about these simple and inexpensive solutions most of the time. It’s shameful how they only push medicines through the pharmacy when often there is something more affordable we can use. I am definitely going to look into the benefits of iodine. My brother researches every time he has an ailment to find combinations of healthy foods he can use to make it better.

That card that your little helper, I’m assuming as your sweet daughter, made was one of the most beautiful cards I’ve ever seen in my life! It was absolutely gorgeous! I have seen professionals working for card companies not make as beautiful of a card as that was. Please pass this information along to your sweet little helper. 🥰 I think it’s wonderful that you are encouraging this young child to be creative such a young age.♥️ Thank you so much for this information about iodine! I know ,like you, that it is supplemented in salt and I have not eaten that type of salt in a very long time. I eat real salt that is mined from the Utah Salt mines. You get it the way it comes out of the earth. The brand name is Redmonds Real Salt. I know that we need iodine, but I don’t know why. I am very interested in learning. I agree with you that God gave us everything that we need for our health and our strength. It’s just trying to figure it out and learning what it is. Thank you so much for sharing!
