My dad was just diagnosed with lung and liver cancer and that has been a hard pill for our family, but I can always count on you to add a bright spot despite the darkness. You are a beautiful artist and thank you for inspiring me in more ways than one! Thank you so much Gayle for showing how to use Amazon brown paper bags to make a journal cover. I watched your previous video too. I am going to use it for our Adult Girl Scout Weekend next year in 2023. It falls on Earth Day weekend. What a perfect thing to show leaders how to make, a Junk Journal out of items that would have gone in the trash. I think I can cover the print on junk mail envelopes with Gesso for the signature pages. It will be fun this whole year to see what "free" paper I can collect! I'm always amazed at how you can put together an entire journal cover in one hour! Your work is 'over the top' inspirational! Hugs!

Happy Saturday Gayle! Did you know you can use the iwatch to set a timer? Simply press the crown, speak into the watch and say “set a timer for 60 minutes” then you’ll get a pulse/vibrate on the wrist when the time is up. It’s kind of handy. I use that feature for my cooking and baking timer. Try it out by just setting a 30 second timer and see if you like it. Just thought I’d pass that technology bit along. ❤️

Some of the bigger splatters look like mushroom tops. I feel like you could doodle on the cover and have mushrooms floating around. Im only ¼ through the video though so maybe you do that. 🤷‍♀️ You just said in the video you're going to mod podge so the essence of mushrooms is still there even if it's not pointed out with doodles. Maybe if you use similar scraps for tags, etc. These scraps are perfect with this kit. I hope you have a delightful day. I'm trying to find some delight today, but am mourning the loss of my cousin (he was my age). I'm grateful he came into our lives when my uncle married his mom and adopted him. Love&hugs

Happy Scrappy Saturday, Gayle! Ooh, I'm going to love this journal put together. My mother was full of the stories of the wee folk up in Newfoundand along the Irish loop where she grew up. She used to say she actually saw some dancing on the rocks on the beach once. And my hubby and I would make up stories about elves and gnomes during our hikes in the Alaskan forests. The forests up there are such a great setting for making up tales like that. The cover is looking beautiful and whimsical! Can't wait to see the rest of it! It's been cold and rainy in mid-PA today.
