What’s the Scream 2 movie about?
Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) and tabloid reporter Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) survived the events of the first "Scream", but their nightmare isn't over yet.
Two years after the events of the first movie, Sidney Prescott, who is now a college student at Windsor College, thought she'd finally put the shocking murders that shattered her life behind her. But when two college students are murdered at a sneak preview of "Stab" - a movie based on the events from the first film, it's clear a copycat killer is on the loose. Sidney and Gale, as well as fellow survivors Deputy Sheriff Dewey Riley (David Arquette) and student Randy Meeks (Jamie Kennedy), have to find out who is behind this new murder spree before they all end up dead...

Laurie really does crazy well. She was like this in Desperate Housewives, too, as supermarket shooter Carolyn Bigsby. And of course we can't forget Aunt Jackie, although that was a more lighthearted take on being nuts.

Mrs. Loomis might be the most underrated _Scream_ killer in the franchise. As a younger man in high school I found her anticlimactic and, yes, I even thought that Laurie Metcalf ‘over-egged the pudding’ in terms of _Acting!_ Upon re-viewing, I think Mrs. Loomis is actually very well crafted and Metcalf did an extraordinary job in portraying her.

This was an amazing twist. I remember being stunned the reporter that clashed with Gale was not only the main villain but connected to Billy. Scream 2 is probably one of the 20 best 2nd installments ever made.

The best horror sequel ever made, and one of the best sequels ever made in cinema history. Mrs. Loomis is the most underrated killer in the franchise, and I think this was the best reveal out of them all. It was amazing to see this in theaters, back before the days of internet leaks - the whole theater gasped when we realizing who she was.

Mrs. Loomis and Billy Loomis were both European Americans and Samantha and Tara are Latin Americans. That is called non traditional casting.

Even if they are mexicans their skin tone is, as you americans would say, "white", or are you one of those people that think "there is just one type of light skin tone"? Be mexican or have mexican ascendence has nothing to do with skin tone: we literally are a genetic pool from mexican native tribes, europeans (spanish, portuguese, frenche, english, italians, germans, greeks, etc.), west asia (arabs are ancestors of hispanics), africans and even east asians (chinese and philippines, etc.). Literally is posible for two lighter skin tone ("or white") mexicans to have children with darker skin tone and viceversa, from two parents of darker skin to have lighter skin children, and even other features (hair type and color, type of eyes, etc). We even started to have more diverse as people from countries (mainly japanese and corean) have been moving to Mexico and having children, and also from other Latinoamerican countries (who have their own big genetic pools) and, again, viceversa. Saddly we got in our society most of you're racism although we are more similar (and diverse at the same time) between ourselfs than we think.

You know, Sidney's mother is really to blame for everything in the first 3 movies. Because of her time in Hollywood, it set off this psycho chain reaction. She abandoned/disowned her son, Roman. Then she slept with Billy's father causing Mrs. Loomis to leave and Billy and Stu killing her and then attempt to kill Sidney for her mother's sins. Mrs. Loomis comes back to try and avenge her son and fails. I think they should do a Scream back story on Maureen.

Well what Sidney’s mother did was wrong, but every married couple has stepped out on their marriage , that doesn’t give someone the right to kill … and Mrs. Loomis is to blame as well .. instead of divorcing and taking Billy with her, she abandoned him to be raised by his father (who’s also to blame as well for cheating on his wife)

Roman was the result of a rape. Maureen was raped. She didn't want to get pregnant. She was violated and traumatized because of it. Even Roman said it: "they fckd her three ways through Sunday*. Even if abandoning a child isn't moral, we understand why she did it. Roman was a reminder of a horrible time in her life, a time she was not to blame. That baby was a constant reminder of the violence she suffered. The only thing she is to blame is for getting involved with a married man, even tho she is 50% there because Hank Loomis was in the wrong as well. Funny how quickly people point fingers at ONLY Maureen almost like she forced Hank to sleep with her. If you are talking blame for the domino effect that caused the killings, it was all John Milton's fault.

Ms Loomis may have been smart enough to cover half of her tracks, but clearly was insane as hell and she’s very stupid if she seriously thinks or knows she’s gonna get away with it, especially after killing her ally when she should know that she wasn’t going to succeed alone, she said it’s not wise to insult her holding a gun (honestly she deserved to be insulted) but Sidney clearly is wiser than her and knew she wasn’t gonna kill her until she’s completely done patronising her about Billy, And Sidney is right, it’s her own fault for leaving her own son.

I will admit I was a very cynical 13 year old watching this movie with just a general lack of humility which takes away from being scared, but I loved Ms. Loomis. In revisiting this film it's so great how she's so lowkey and can actually be spotted at many of the attacks, but because Derek and Cotton are so played up to be the murderers she completely slips your mind(thank god for the rewrite). I mean with the screentime she got it could have been the camera guy for all we knew.
