While Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) lives in safely guarded seclusion, bodies begins dropping around the Hollywood set of Stab 3, the latest movie sequel based on the gruesome Greensboro killings. When the escalating terror finally brings her out of hiding, Sidney and other Greensboro survivors are once again drawn into an insidious game of horror movie mayhem. I like how they acknowledged the fans hatred for killing off Randy in Scream 2. Lol. I was sad to see him die, but I also respected them killing off a beloved character other than the trinity - Sid, Gale, and Dewey.

It’s just not as suspenseful. There aren’t any parts of this movie had me riled up like the opening and ending scene in scream 1 or when Sidney had to escape from the back of the cop car in scream 2 or when Gale is in the sound booth running behind walls trying to hide from ghost face in Scream 2. It’s missing a lot of the suspense and some of the Kills (like that one dude being blown up for trying to read a fax) are just meh. Other than that I still like it.

If they went through with jennifer as the 2nd killer and maybe keep tyson alive I would of liked it more...tyson died cause he's black and she is just a red hearing...ruins the movie for me...

@@Aced84 That's a great point. Scream 3 leans very heavily on comedy to compensate for the lack of gore but I feel like that compensation was misplaced. Like you said, it's missing suspense and tension in it's scenarios and that's what makes any Scream movie a thrill to watch (even more than the gory payoff). Had Scream 3 tried harder with suspense and other thriller elements, (like in a movie like The Call with Halle Berry), it would be as much a classic as the first two

They do & its true. Often in Hollywood Celebs on set gotta talk about wats going with the world & the industry. When Paul Walker(RIP) died many of us at the Universal Studio lot including Nathan Fillion talked about his death & came to the conclusion that the vehicle was rigged to crash but when we found out the truth our reason went out the window. Its common in Hollywood but Hollywood is more than a Business, its a Game

Jill was supposed to be the final girl in 4 with Kevin’s original ending. Last minute they had an outside writer come in and write the garbage hospital scene. After that Kevin stated he had no idea how to continue Scream since he wanted Jill to be the final girl and have her open up a new trilogy with someone knowing she was the ghost face from 2011. Sidney would have also been found alive in Scream 5 just in a coma or with amnesia. Can’t remember what Kevin said exactly verbatim.

Tori & David left because of frustrations with John Milton. He & another employee had an intense rivalry which would sometimes break out into fights on set. Some chapters of Gales book explain this, she exposed a lot about Sunrise Studios after the events of Scream 3

"What if the killer's Sidney Prescott?" *Immediately cuts to a shot of Angelina, who plays Sidney Prescott and was written as the 2nd killer for most of the film's shoot until they decided to kill her off in the final act* (though I just head-canon that Roman killed his partner, like most Ghostfaces; he just did it earlier to take all the credit.)

Great film in all honesty. Funny, at times irreverent and self-mocking and subtly pokes fun at the Hollywood machine. I always found it odd that the Weinsteins “okayed” this given the whole Milton story arch. Unless that was a way to say “we aren’t all that different. This is just the reality of what goes on in this town” as a way to sweep it under the rug

More likely that Harvey’s giant blobby ass didn’t get that some people picked up on just how much of an actual creep he was. Most guys don’t go around bragging that they have to SA or coerce women into having sex with them. Also, living in LA- not all creepy producers succeed in their creepy ways, Harvey is called a “mastermind” for a reason.

This scene makes a stronger case to demote this as a spin-off movie. We feel Sidney but is not focused on her completely instead we are focused on these cast of characters. Who else is counting down til the next installment?

I vote to demote the awful Scream 5 as a spinoff then, going by your logic that film utilises Sidney far worse than this film does. At least this film gave her an epic third act showdown with a Ghostface that revealed new things about her and a valid reason to bring her out of seclusion, Scream 5 doesn't use her well at all.

I rather they just ruin it with Stab V with time travel.
