That was the idea behind Valorant to make a game which feels very close to CSGO so people will come in try it and maybe some of then will remain and play Valorant instead CSGO ! Also let's not forget that Salvatore "Volcano" Garozzo which was is a NA CS legend it's one of the game designers. In my opinion a guy who spend 5000 hours in CSGO and probably 500 - 700 hours in Valorant, I can say that in terms of the gunplay & mechanics the two games feel very similar.

two things: #1 imo they wont change TOO much as they don't want to deviate from the greatest competitive formula of all time (that's why its lasted and been relevant for so long) #2 They said in the release video this beta is only the start of new changes they are making and that there are more to come.

Well it's the marketting thing.. they could've just released it as a graphics and few mechanics update to csgo.. but then non cs players wouldn't have cared... by calling it cs 2 they are making people think it's a new game lets try it... But after 2 week it'll be back to csgo numbers... the game is basically the same and I doubt anyone left it for the graphics.

@@B4SS1L1SK The leak for the anticheat doesn't give any information on what it is and It's likely to be a small update that will have little impact, csgo has had the same cheats active in the scene for years upon years. riot is a huge company with lots of recourses and already make one of the biggest games in esports, if you think valve (who has a track record of not updating or spending money on the game) can compete you're out of your mind. I've played csgo since 2014 with over 2k hours and still play the game occasionally, but the rampant cheating and lack of recources outside of community maps and 3rd party mm/anticheat killed my enjoyment. It took them almost 3 years after valorants launch to release this ''beta'' and the ''improvements'' aren't really that impressive considering. some valorant players will play it on release but they will not move over to it, it'll be a secondary game for alot of people including myself.
