Missing craven

Imagine if a Ghostface actually entered Krueger's dimension and gained abilities through that. Would be cool to see Wes Craven's properties in the same universe. Afterall he did cameo in Scream as Krueger lookalike.

People LOVE blaming harmless media like videogames and movies for the first school shooting. But truth be told, those two kids were already damaged, and would have inevitably found a patsy for their massacre. If not a movie, then they'd absolutely find something else.

@@ShadyNJ Yes. But my question to the people who blame writers and filmmakers is, if they are responsible, why don't millions do the same thing? If movies mattered so much, why don't movies about good people have more of an affect? This is why Stephen King took his short story, Rage, out of his anthologies. He was the first person people blamed for school shootings because that's what Rage is about. Imagine it. You create something, it happens in real life, and people blame you. It must be awful.

And yet The Scream (2022) is the worst of all movies from the franchise. Yes it is even worse then Scream 3. Actors from original got old and they are only in the background, role little more then a cameo.

The killers had same motives as part 4 for some reason. The kills were good but the motives of the killers were bland and little to do with the victim.

I feel with Neve making her return for 7 it only makes sense the song returns with her. I cannot fucking wait for 7 and Neve to be back. I love Jenna and Melissa, but we know the saying that nothing beats the original. Neve is the ‘Scream’ queen.

No. I really like the second but the first one is very special to me. Although, the „Original is best“ cliche can be seen for many things, for the SCREAM franchise, this cliche doesn‘t really apply

I like them all so far because they are great in their own way plus the characters have their own little sideplot. I have not yet seen the 4th one. Why is it a 15 when the rest are 18?

@@EmperorOfChaos I guess there are a lot of different reasons why we like the Scream franchise. For me I was really young and I remember watching it on STARZ movie channel when cable was more popular. I guess it had just left theaters so the channel had it as an all day marathon to break it in? I had never saw horror films like Scream..for a child like me the scene with the mom screaming for her daughter Casey was terrifying cause it was realistic. There was sadness, and realism to the first 2 films for me that the rest didn't have. I will never forget being a kid watching Tatum get her head caught in the garage door when I thought she was one of the main stars. One more thing, I feel like the way the 1st 2 were written..its almost like it does everything for itself. It doesn't need the audience to mock or make fun of it because it already does that. It's like those scripts were one step ahead of the audience.

@@LinG-of8fk I feel like the same about the first two. Which is why I would have liked a cameo from Stu as his older self. Sort of like Purple Man in Jessica Jones. Apparently the third one had a different writer to the rest which is why it is different to the first two. I miss Cotton and Randy through. There is not a lot of OG characters left. As a child, I thought it was a full out horror film so I only watched the beginning. I then overlooked it until recently when I started watching Friday the 13th and collecting the figurines of all Jasons, one Freddy and one Ghostface with fabric robes. Even if the films are not great I like the characters whether they are the killers or the protagonists or side characters.
