Which makes it extremely unlikely to die from brain trauma. 🤦‍♂ And as someone else already pointed out, you can use any rerolls from any survivors present in the game phase to reroll any die. 29:50 Minor oops: Collision, monster stops on top of survivor, blue survivor should’ve been knocked back 5 spaces. 31:50 Major oops: 3 damage, 1 light,1 heavy, 1 left over which should’ve been a severe injury. 33:20 I try my best not to alpha game you guys too much but this would’ve been a good opportunity to use that Rawhide Headband for AI control, just such a sorely missed opportunity I had to bring it up. 33:45 Minor oops: “Random survivor in range” could’ve been any of the 3, including the one in the blind spot, blind spot only removes you from field of view. Also, it’s “Intimidate Target”, there is no movement there, the Antelope shouldn’t have moved. 35:35 Major oops: Hit locations have 2 types of effects, Reaction effects (marked with R) and just effects (just plain text). In the case of this First Strike, it’s just an effect and these effects happen BEFORE rolling to wound, in this particular case, it ended up not mattering since the survivor was able to continue their attack after suffering the the brain damage. In the future do like this: Reveal AI, read title, read and resolve any text that precedes a Reaction. Roll to wound. Resolve Reaction if any or apply critical wound effect if crit. Note: Effects that are not part of the Reaction ARE NOT cancelled by rolling a critical wound. 36:30 Minor oops: 1d5 with a d10 is always half rounded UP, meaning 9 is a 5, not 4. Jesse, you’re a roleplayer, you should know this! 37:40 Minor oops: Don’t refresh the AI deck until you need to draw from there (either AI is played or you wound). For example you can’t use the Headband if the deck is empty, even if there are cards in the discard. 38:35 Major oops: Reaction Wound, you rolled a 1, that’s not a wound, why did you do the Reaction, WTF Jesse? 😂 39:40 Major oops: Random survivor in blind spot, SURVIVOR, not threat! Prologue, mark LY1. 1st lvl 1 WL, mark LY2. 2nd lvl 1 WL, mark LY3. 1st lvl SA, mark LY4. 53:00 Clarification: I already addressed this in the previous Patreon video comments but the game is balanced around 4 survivors going on a hunt and it tends to often assume it's 4 people also actually playing, so whenever it’s “each player something something”, just treat it like you were playing with 4 players. In this case, it’s not a big deal, with Triathlon it would’ve been really cheesy to choose only 2. 53:50 REROLLS JESSE! REROLLS! USE THEM! Your settlement is having a really good start! Your chemistry and approach to this game is very enjoyable to watch. Snap decisions and gut reactions are always entertaining.

My current campaign featured a survivor named Yellow. She is easily the strongest survivor in the settlement. She's a shield and fist/tooth master, one box away from club. On her most recent hunt she lost her name and is now known as Gelb.

I kept this on while cooking - only comments I had were regarding tokens on the antelope - it has -1 move for a while and -1 evasion as well. Looking much better though :) Fun game to watch a happy pair realize the darkness of KD :)

You should have the Accept Darkness principle, that makes you add plus 2 to every brain trauma roll, so that meams you can never die from brain trauma rolls as your 1 would actually be a 3, that would have changed everything in your fight so i think you should re do the fight off camera and just update us on what happened, that was a pretty big change that needs to be corrected. Plus you can use bark one time re roll for him to not die

2d10 is 2 dice with results between 1 and 10, totalling 2-20. What you're rolling is 1d100, with a result between 1 and 100 (you're utilizing 2 dice to achieve this because you don't have an actual one-hundred-sided die).

I'm pretty sure Poots made a clarification that any survivor present for a roll can use their lifetime reroll for it. I.e. during hunt, any of the 4 survivors can use their rerolls for any of the rolls and during settlement phase any survivor in the settlement can reroll any roll. This means you can save strong survivors who have no rerolls, with rerolls from others. It seems like you could have used that ruling for this episode😂 (Also you can reroll a reroll, though you might be aware of that one)

I have multiple hundreds of hours in both solo and 2 player game play. I always assume ‘players’ refers to 4 survivors. It tends to keep things more interesting doing it that way.

Showdown thoughts: I think the positive and negative mistakes pretty much balance each other out, played correctly it would’ve still been likely for someone to die, meaning 3 survivors would’ve walked out of there either way. Do not redo the showdown, take losing Amber as your punishment for your oopsies, learn from them and carry on. Do not stop, follow through and remember all the things that can keep you alive and stop accepting all the punishment, please! 🙏 PS: I REALLY REALLY REALLY, don’t want to alpha game here, especially since it’s Shiras first game and she’s making the calls but please, I highly recommend you do not go Cannibalize. 😫I want to see you prosper and go further than you ever have. Death Principle is the only one where one choice is significantly worse than the other and has the potential to severely handicap your campaign.
