Battlefield 1 is still the most graphically impressive game in the series to this day. The franchise was on a whole other level compared to now

A fairer comparison would be screaming steel vs verdun. Both games are hardcore tactical shooters that are slower paced compared to BF1.

Purely in terms of video games, I find the lower proliferation of fully automatic weapons to be the most compelling part of games set in WW1. (With the incredible vehicles a close second of course and the weird half-very oldschool half-early 1900s mixture of rapidly changing technology.) I do wish BF1 had committed to the more bolt-action/repeating rifle angle. It seemed like the prototype/conceptual smgs broke the meta too often

Agreed. I remember at one point the devs made it so that each class was able to use the standard issue bolt action rifle of their faction. You'd think assault's would be encouraged to use them over smg's on larger maps, but hardly anyone ever did because the rifles were still held back by their sweet spot ranges, and sometimes a faction's rifle wasn't the best for close/mid range.

@@bruhtholemew I remember at least once I played a 'realistic' match and most had rifles, and I *think* there were a very limited number of smg available. Not sure if it was custom game type or what. Otherwise, in normal gameplay, there is simply not enough incentive to use a rifle, unless you're a dedicated sharpshooter player.

battlefield 1:better reload speed + very cool BUT I think the animation has to be a small remake Screaming Steel + Insurgency: I love weapon models and animation BUT this is so SLOW. edit: battlefield 1 has not bad animation

It ain’t going to fall out but yeah I guess that guy never had feeding issues because otherwise he’d have to put his hand on the mag too make sure it was seated properly

gun is not intended to be held by the mag

@@asian_inasuit9239 You can actually see a metal sheath over a section of the magazine between the mag well and the actual drum. Not only is this meant to keep dirt from entering the witness gap, but it acts as a spacer to make sure the magazine isn't over inserted, so he wouldn't need to hold the magazine.

The mag well grip is a thing for movies and films and games only, it looks cool but causes a lot of problem for you and the gun.

@@no-legjohnny3691 side magazine guns were designed to hold the gun by the mag to prevent feeding issues like the sten gun, mp40, mp38 ,mp41 ,ppsh41 ,grease gun ,pps 42 and the mas 38
