Great! This is the first review I've seen with a dual monitor setup. I have two Dell 27" flat screen displays, and I was worried about whether the light from either bar would encroach on the other display, but it looks fine here in the review. Even though you had two different brands here to show off the difference, I'm going to go with the Quntis for each. Hell, you can buy 2 Quntis light bars for the price of 1 BenQ and they look just as good.

Thanks for the comment and feedback! You might just try 1 at first. I use a single one at work for dual monitors and it's plenty to light up my work space. Just depends on how much light you want I guess.

Thanks for the review! Just what I wanted to know. Going with the BenQ cuz of remote and more premium feel.

The Quntis also goes lower, which is a plus IMO. I also liked the light color a bit better and did decide against the BenQ.

As someone who takes a ton of pictures of their setup, I totally agree with the lower light thing. That and sometimes you only need a little bit.

it seems the BenQ has a softer light projection than the Quntis... I actually like it more, but not enough for the price difference.
@PhazerOnest
@PhazerOnest Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I would agree with that, which is odd seeing as the quntis model has a frosted type of finish on the clear part of the light. I know BenQ has put a lot off study and effort into the way the light is refracted and directed, so that may be the difference.

The Quntis seems to be hitting your left monitor a lot and lighting it up way more than the Benq does. Is this angle adjustable, or is it just a bad design where it's not cutting the light at the screen?
@PhazerOnest
@PhazerOnest 6 ай бұрын
It is angle adjustable, the main body of the light rotates on both models. However, the BenQ does have a more defined cut to the light, but when properly adjusted the Quntis works fine. I use the quntis at work and have no issues with it.

Awesome... as I was watching your review I just installed and lit up my Quntis Pro+... on a Benq 34" PD3420Q wide linear (not curved) monitor and it's awesome. I've been a brand "hoe" most of my life... but honestly see no benefit to spend that extra $110 for the Halo.... That back-light feature is not something I would use, however, if money is no object AND you want to minimize desktop clutter and also want to keep from adding an additional light to create that back light, then the Halo would be your choice. All other things aside, the Quntis fits the bill : )

Totally agree! The price difference it hard to justify unless like you said you just want the absolute best of the best or top of the line. The backlight is a nice touch, but between that and the remote, I don't see an extra $100. Thanks for your input and checking out the video! ❤️

Thank you for this video! As a light-nerd and someone who works with LED at a daily basis, the Quntis seems to have a greener hint in the light. This is something I really dislike. Might have to go with the benq. How was the glare? The frosted Quntis should be less harsh, did you notice that?
@PhazerOnest
@PhazerOnest 5 ай бұрын
Thank you for the comment! Glare wise, both are pretty equal, the benq has a more defined cutoff both on the screen side and the user side, but neither put a glare on the screen when properly aimed. As for the harshness, I did not notice any discernable difference but you may if you work with them on the daily.

@@PhazerOnest Thank you for the answer. It's not an easy option, but the Quntis is half the price of an Halo here in Sweden atm. Have a great weekend!

What about light glare onto the monitor - especially at the top, near the light bar? I've heard the Ben-Q has a more defined cut-off and keeps the light glare off the monitor. Is that true? If so, in real-world usage, has it mattered to you? .. Also, is the "wake-up" feature of the Ben-Q remote annoying at all? .. Thxs.
@PhazerOnest
@PhazerOnest 10 ай бұрын
The benq does have a more defined cut to the light, but in reality I haven't noticed it enough to care between the two. Light glare isn't an issue at all when you get them angled correctly. The BenQ remote is really only annoying when the batteries die as it starts to flash between cool and warm and you can't turn it off until you get new batteries or unplug it.

Excellent video. Do you think angling the light would be fine with both on a 43” monitor? My main goal is lighting up my desk and reducing eye strain, so don’t want any of the light to glare off my screen.
@PhazerOnest
@PhazerOnest 9 ай бұрын
Thanks! Both of these, as well as other models I have tried, create no screen glare. They are designed not to, and when angled correctly don't shine on the monitor or into your eyes. Also I think you would likely be just fine with a single light bar, I don't think it's necessary to have 2 of them. They light up the desk area quite well when centered.

Good to know. Thanks. I only have 1 monitor, it’s just taller at 22” tall as a 16:9 43” vs an ultrawide. I do graphic design, so the extra vertical space was super helpful. Appreciate the feedback! Keep up the great videos!

Does the screen have to be covered like that by the mount of the lights?

They don't cover any of the screen when you're seated at the desk. Mostly just cause I had my camera set a bit higher up

Hello. Do you think Quntis is a suitable choice for the LG UltraWide 34WQ75C monitor? Also, I'm curious if it would cause any damage to the monitor's screen or edges?
